What are my favorite happy things in life? I’m a lucky girl and a happy pup. There are so many things I love in my life, but a few seem to stick out as extra special. Since it is happy Tuesday, I figured it would be a great time to share some of these things with you.
You all know I love my sports. For me, I think nose work/scent work is my very favorite sport. I pull so hard when going to my searches, Mom can barely stay upright. It is so much fun for me to hunt down the odor. I started learning about odor at nine weeks old and fell in love right away. Mom says I love it so much I would search and search until I fell over if she let me!
Tracking is a close second to nose work and scent work. It is really fun and I get to go pretty fast. The problem is finding places to practice is difficult, and aging the tracks is time consuming. Mom loves running tracks with me, but not the set up part. Maybe we need to find a home for us all on some acreage so we could track more?
When it comes to toys, Furballz are the favorite for me and my sisters. I like to hoard them so no one else can have them. We all run around the house carrying them, and Mom finds it super cute. When it comes to favorite happy things and toys, Furballz win paws down.
As far as hobbies go, I only really have one, and that would be counter surfing. I’m pretty tall, and I can get a long way back on the counter surface. This hobby irritates my mom, but it is self rewarding for me, so I refuse to give it up. There are always crumbs and stuff for me to grab. Mom has to clean the counters before she cooks because of me, but I don’t think it is that big of a deal compared to my happiness with my hobby.
My sister Madison is one of my favorite things because she is so nice to me. She takes care of me, cleans my ears, gives me kisses, and lets me be a real pest. It is rare she gets mad at me. Both of us enjoy road trips, and our sports as well as playing around, chasing, and going for walks and runs with Mom. I really adore her and am lucky to have her as my sister.
I saved the most important thing for last, and that is my mom. She says I’m her first true Velcro dog. I want to be with her 24/7, and we always have so much fun together. My leap that I learned is my favorite way of showing her my affection. I leap up and then smother her face with licks and gentle love bites. She loves it too, which is perfect.
It’s no wonder I’m a happy pup even if I have a bit of devil in me. There are so many great things in my life to be happy about!

You have wonderful favorite things! I’m my Mom’s velcro dog. Her first schnauzer, Freda,a used to jump up in her arms, even after Freda went blind (but not as hight). I will think about learning to do that…maybe….sometimes I’m scared to jump up into the bed cause I can’t see who/what’s up there that I might bang against and fall back to the floor.

Being blind would be so hard. Our gramma is losing her eyesight and it is really sad. I’ve always been a jumper, so I decided on the leap all on my own and Mom loves it.

OMD, I love all the pix; but the one of Madison cleaning your ears/face just lights me up. It reminds me of Callie and Shadow from the first day Shadow was with us. It was so sweet and always made me smile. You are a lucky girl to be so happy! Thank you for sharing your birthday week with us!
