It’s a spring flower Friday for us here on the blog. Spring has had some warm and hot days, but for the most part it has been cool. This week we have been down to freezing in the morning, so flowers are not opening up as early as usual. Our cherry blossoms still need some time before they pop.
Bailie found some flowering white trees on her walk earlier in the week. We like bright colored flowers much more but most of the blooming ones around here are white.
Here is a close up of the white flowers on this tree.
We have some bushes covered in white flowers in our yard that are in bloom too. They are cute and small.
The best spring flowers we have found are the tulips Mom has. They are just beautiful in all their bright colors. These tulips stay in the house, so no worries about them freezing! In the next week or two we sure hope more flowers pop and maybe even the lilacs will get started blooming! Lilacs are the spring flower our mom likes to sniff.
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
Lilacs are my favorite flower too.
My mom just loves them.
I agree about colorful flowers. The white are pretty until they start to turn brown. The vase of tulips is gorgeous

The tulips really scream spring!
All the flowers will be popping up soon.
We’ve had frost every morning but now they say in a few days it will be warming up.
The tulips are lovely and colourful but we like white flowers too.
Our spring weather has been cool this year and we are looking forward to more sunshine!
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
We don’t mind the cool, but we really need the sunshine.
Flower power!!! Lots of purples and yellows in Missouri! and pinks ( for Purple Girl and Pink Girl!)
Our tulips have pink, purple, and orange! Love them!
Northern flowers are so different from the ones here in the south. My mom wishes we had some of your flowers. They are so besutiful and fragrant . Have a fun weekend! XOXO Sparkle
Vegetation is different in Florida. Bailie has been there a few times and knows about it. It’s good to have different things in different climates.
Everything sure is looking pretty though!
We do have a lot of green for sure!
how gerat that miss spring is there… and we love tulips…they are just beautiful… like the pup who is next to them ;O)
Awww, thank you, boys. Mom loves them too.
Looks like spring has sprung in many places. So beautiful.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
It’s trying to spring here, but we keep getting frost in the mornings so it is a bit slow.
The trees in bloom are so pretty and my mom loves to bury her nose in the lilacs too.
We have to keep stopping so Mom can sniff the lilacs, how weird when there is good stuff like squirrels to sniff on the ground.
Beautiful flowers for a lovely weekend
That is correct!
Wow, are those tulips from your yard? My family had lilac bushes in PA but you just don’t see them in TN. They do smell heavenly.
We have some lilac bushes in our yard and they are pretty much all over where we go for walks. The tulips were a gift from one of mom’s clients. So pretty.
What beautiful tulips!!! Sounds like things are going to be blooming in no time!
Enjoy the cool weather!

We do like the cool weather plus it keeps the bugs from coming around too!
It’s been very cool and rainy here too. We don’t have much blooming; a few tulips at my shop and that’s about it! The daffodils are gone by, though we do have some violets around the yard that are pretty. We are waiting for the lilacs too! Our bushes have tons of buds so it’s going to be a good year for those I think!
Once it gets warm we think all the buds will explode!
beautiful flowers and we have the same crazy weather!
It’s really cold again today!
