We are missing flowers for our Flower Friday post today. Everything was full in bloom the beginning of the week, but before we had time to get out and snap some photos, the storms can through with wind and rain and most things fell to the ground. I got new sunglasses to match my hair bow and the flowers on the deck. They are a bit trampled, but not too bad.
Poor Bailie wanted to get a photo with the lilacs, but it was raining when she went out to take the shot. Still, you can see the purple lilacs with purple girl. Mom can definitely smell them too.
Since most of the pretty blooms are now missing flowers, we are including a shot of the tulips Mom got from a client earlier this month. They were so pretty and spring like! The rain is going to continue, so plan on seeing some underwater or scuba posts in the near future! Have a fun weekend!
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
You girls are just as lovely as the flowers.
Awww, thank you.
Awww, you are beautiful and the flowers you still have are lovely and i hope the rain slacks off and quits before scuba gear becomes needed.
It is really wet out there but we are supposed to get rain for a few more days.
You sure do have some pretty flowers and we’re glad the storm didn’t hurt them too bad.
The regular flowers are alright but the pretty ones on the trees all fell off.
we love the purple photo.. it is so sweet…. and we love tulips… they have something what brings a good feeling…
We love the colors of the tulips Mom got.
I think your flowers are beautiful.
Thank you.
Madison, you are so very pretty in pink! I bet Bailie could smell the lilacs better than your mom. Northern flowers are so pretty and remind my mom of her childhood in Buffalo. Have a fun weekend! XOXO Sparkle
Lilacs are super strong. Mom can even smell them before we get to them.
The flower girls! Your mom still managed to capture to capture your essence and colors! All is beautiful up North!
Everything is getting really green now with the rain.
You’re adorable and the tulips are most beautiful. A wonderful nature Friday.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
Hope your weekend is funtastic!
You look so pretty in your sunglasses, Madison! Mom LOVES lilacs and their incredible scent and the tulips are just beautiful!
Thank you. The air is full of lilac smell right now.
Ladies
I think you did a fab job with your photos in spite of Mother Nature, who has her own agenda…at least here. Amazing how crazy our weather has been. Today will be our coolest day out of the next 7, we’ll have 90 or higher and it is still MAY!!
Mom’s tulips were gorgeous
Hugs Cecilia
The tulips were the prettiest flowers she has ever had and they actually lasted for 8 days! Mother nature is weird but we have to live with whatever she gives us.
Well, at least you found a few flowers. Lilacs are my favorite.
Our potted flowers are fine and some of the lilacs are still hanging and scenting the air.
We think you made the best of an unpromising situation. Those flowers look lovely!
Thank you. One never knows what the weather will do next.
We can’t believe how much rain you are getting! We’ve been dry here for at least a couple weeks, and now we really need rain again! You can send yours our way if you’d like! π
Ugh, it rains every day, and some days all day. We are soaked.
We’re having the same problems here in the UK too, rain, rain, rain and more rain, your flowers look amazing and the tulips are such a beautiful gift to recieve
I’m so happy to be back blogging again, catching up with old friends and making new ones too xxx
It’s either pouring or hot and humid. Not a lot of fun.
We think that the flowers you do have are wonderful! Purrfect for rainy weather! We are having some rain today (Sunday) but that is a good thing! We are worried about forest fires!
No fires here because it is pretty wet, thankfully. It will be a rainy weird weather week. Oh well, it is what it is. Hope you don’t have any forest fires.
Such pretty tulips!! We are glad Bailie got to get a picture with the lilacs before the rain got them both too wet!
xoxo,
Rosy and the Gang
It was a bummer as it was so beautiful out for only two days and then all the blooms were washed away.
