Bright colored flowers are our favorite kind of flowers. At our house we love color year round in pretty much every area of life. Right now our front step flowers are really in bloom. Gramma loves red geraniums, so this photo is for you, Gramma! There are so many flowers, it is just amazing!
Our snowball bushes are starting to flower as well. This is the biggest snowball we have and it is already almost completely white.
Being pink girl, I’m excited to find a bunch of bright pink flowers. They are really pretty.
Mom found this orange, we think lily. It is something we don’t see a lot of as most are yellow around here.
Speaking of lilies, the yellow ones are everywhere in our neighborhood right now.
For our friend Rosy, we found a white rose. It would look good in your head furs, Rosy! Watch out for those pricklers, though!
Mom isn’t into gardening, so we have no clue what most flowers are. As long as they are bright colored flowers, we will probably like them. This yellow one is a good example. Isn’t it pretty?
At the end of our walk, we end up back in our yard with our deck flowers, which are also pretty bright colored flowers of some sort. Hope you have some nice flowers in your neighborhood too. Flowers make the misery of summer disappear a little bit!
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
Love seeing all your bright flowers. And of course you are looking grand too, posing beside the blooms on your front step and deck.
Happy Nature Friday!
Well this gal loves RED anything and bright is key to outofdoors plants! The geraniums are absolutely gorgeous (as are all the blooms). Geraniums are sturdy plants that somehow survive the hot summers in the Southern USofA too.
Thanks for your kind comments on my new project. I ‘taught’ myself to quilt about 3 years ago. I have been sewing most of my life so I thought, how hard can it be. Answer is chose your projects carefully and thank goodness for YOUTube.
Happy Friday
Hugs Cecilia
Mom could probably make a quilt if she had the time to figure it out as she has sewn her entire life too. Yours is really fun.
I didnβt know there were white roses. Beautiful
I think they come in lots of colors.
WOW, everything is so bright and pretty! I hope you all have a wonderfully fun weekend!
It looks quite summery.
Mom is not a big gardener either. We have several things that bloom every year. Our mailbox is beautiful with it’s fake flowers! Happy Friday! XOXO Sparkle
Mom just wants to buy plants and let them go. It works pretty well, she has to water them a lot this year but that is easy.
we love all that wonderful colors… and specially if a gbgv girl is in the photo too… the furst one would make the most beautiful calendar page for july ;O)
Oh boy, I could be a calendar girl π
I am a HUGE fan of the snowball bush and the white rose!! I adore white flowers!
We love the snowball bushes and we have some jumbo ones in white.
Your flowers are so beautiful and so colorful!
Color is what we love except for the snowball bushes where we like white.
Very beautiful. I love to be surrounded by colors as well! I have a lot of flowers around our yard that I don’t know the names of too. π
Mom just buys what is pretty and can handle sun and we like them. No need to know their names.
The flowers are beautiful. They jump off the page. Tell mom she did a great job on those shots.
Have a woof woof day and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
Thank you. She loves to take photos, mainly of us dogs but sometimes other things too.
Oh what lovely flowers you found!
The grass is all brown and dead around here from our drought, but the flowers are still looking great.
Well…the bright yellow one is a zinnia! I know because mom keeps yelling “get out of the Zinnias!!!”
Chablis
I think you are right. Mom forgot the name, but she recognized them from the garden when she was a little girl.
While i canβt grow stuff at all, i do love to see everyone elseβs garden and enjoy their flowers.
We enjoy looking too. Mom buys the plants and then we just have to water them and it works out.
You all may take a bit longer to bloom in Minnesota but WOW, what beautiful blooms you get when summer arrives!!
xoxo,
Arty and the Gang
PeeEss, Rosy says she would love those white rosies in her hair!!
We could see one on her head for sure. Once the conditions are right everything is green or in bloom, but sometimes it takes a while.
Your flowers, and the flowers in your neighborhood, are gorgeous. We think that orange flower is a lily too, but, like you, aren’t good at this sort of thing.
It never really matters to us what it is as long as it looks nice, right?
You guys saw a ton of different flowers on tour walk! And we get to see many of the same ones here (if the deer don’t eat them). Yes, we have had a deer population explosion on the last 5 years and they seem to particularly like to eat the flowers! They also prance around very early in the morning and Cinnamon lets us know their movements through our yard by barking loudly! I bet you guys would NOT do that!
There are a lot of deer at Gramma’s house and they eat flowers quite frequently but here we have fox and coyote, but not really deer. Out by Gramma’s they have had years where they hunt the deer to get the population down as there are too many at times.
