Our stars are spangled and we are resting up after a busy three days. If we could sleep at night we wouldn’t be so worn out, but those fireworks until late hours keep us from sleeping.
Olivia and I sniffed our hearts out in the heat and humidity all day Friday and Saturday which tired us out. We had a pawsome time but sniffing is a lot of work!
Bailie spent the 4th at Gramma’s house. She was busy doing things with Mom and Gramma and also hasn’t been sleeping at night.
We’ll see you all tomorrow with our sports highlights from the weekend. Hopefully we will be all rested up by then! Enjoy the day off today if you are lucky enough to have it off. Mom is working so we can keep sleeping because there is nothing else to do.

Mom’s been away so now we are all together again which makes us happy. But my brother did not like the boom! boom! of yesterday — he was so glad mom was home to snuggle with while we waited for the noise to stop. Have a restful day!! your friend Lilly
We are all snoring around here. It was a late and stressful night and tonight will probably be bad again. I’m glad your mom is home with you.
Poor fur babies! Last night it sounded like some of the boom booms were in our backyard. It was loud and the air was thick with smoke outside . Mom had bought Puffin some hemp oil and a thunder shirt. They worked really well. She shivered a tiny bit but nothing like last weekend. People spent a lot of money in our neighborhood on those noise makers. Rest easy today. XOXO Sparkle
It was over 3 hours of booming here and we are all a mess from it. We are glad mom is home working and we can snooze around the office in peace and quiet.
we agree… sniffing is hard work… we are always dog tired after nosework too… and we look forward when you tell us about your weekend ;O)

Lucky you guys. Ours were as bad as ever, over three hours of the booming. We are seriously worn out.
It was noisy here last night. Lots of booms going on. Our Angel Little Bit hated fireworks too. You all just rest up and tonight will be far quieter.

A great day for resting
It is because it is super hot and humid out there.
Rest up pups, I’m glad you enjoyed your holiday and had some fun, too bad it is so hot and humid, but that’s summer for ya.
We are not a summer family and not a fireworks family, so it is tough right now.
I hope y’all get all caught up on that rest thing!
Mom said it was hard for her to work with all the snoring going on. The idiots behind us set off fireworks again last night which woke us all up. Hopefully they will run out soon!

The stress they give us wears us out and we can’t sleep with all the noise.
Oh ladies we had more boomers last night than in many years…I will never understand the fascination with them either.
Especially in ones back yard with neighbors and all the trees. Just plain scary and worrisome.

Same here and now they bought more so they were setting them off again last night. So inconsiderate for people like us who go to bed early because we have to get up early.

We even went to bed early last night but people started booming again and it woke us all up. So inconsiderate. One night we could tolerate but night after night is just not necessary!
We’re sorry the firework stole your sleep. This is the first year we didn’t shake to the rhythm of the explosions. We don’t even know why, but we fell sound asleep in the middle of it all. Get some rest, friends, and we’ll be watching for your nosework post. XOX Xena and Lucy
Yeah, it was loud for over three hours. Last night they continued but only for about forty five minutes. We are really tired of them.
We are lucky. They don’t sell fireworks in our province and the fines this year (because of the killer heat) are a MINIMUM of $1,000 plus added jail time if you don’t comply. That combined with the closed US border (so the yahoos can’t head south and buy them there) meant there were no fireworks around us. We LOVED that! And on the US side, the 4th was way quieter than any previous year. They too are worried about the fire danger.
We wish they would make them illegal and have fines. I can assure you we would be calling the police on anyone who was setting them off!
Thank goodness the 4th is behind us, so maybe things can get quiet again! Cooler would be nice too!
