5 Ways To Celebrate Labor Day Weekend With Your Dog
1. Our Favorite – Take A Road Trip
Olivia and I love going anywhere in the car but a road trip is the best. You and your dog could visit family or friends, or explore some place new. You don’t have to go far but take your pup along for the ride.
2. Go On An Exploring Walk
What dog doesn’t enjoy a walk? Find a new place to check out and go for a nice walk. Look for fun things to pose on or practice balancing or agility tricks. For us pups, we want to be with you, and that matters most of all. If it is hot out, remember to bring along some water for us.
3. Get Cozy And Do Nothing
Dogs are happy doing nothing sometimes. Everyone tends to enjoy a good nap in a comfy place. Find a spot where you and your dog are close together and just be couch potatoes for a while. Taking a load off the paws feels good.
4. Don’t Forget The Healthy Treats
A holiday weekend would not be the same without food, right? Make sure you have plenty of healthy snacks around for your pup. Weight management is important, so don’t go too overboard, but a few extra snacks won’t do any harm. We are looking forward to a new bag of lamb lungs!
5. Grill Something Tasty For Your dog
Everyone grills on this last weekend of the summer. If you are spending Labor Day Weekend with your dog, why not grill for her too? Our late sister and chef extraordinaire Emma left us with a wonderful recipe for doggy burgers! Just reading the recipe gets us drooling. Too bad she isn’t here to make them for us. We will get some made on our own with a bit of help from Mom.

We are traveling through Sunday and they relaxing and gearing up for the rest of the week on Monday.
You forgot the watermellon! Mom has one in th garden that sure thumps ripe. Tomorrow is the day we HOPE!!! My nuisance brother introduced me to fresh watermellon a few years ago when he raided mom’s patch and broke one open. I highly recommned them. – juicy and full of yummy squishy flesh. If you let your mom cut them up into smaller chuncks, you won’t get too much juice in your beard and feet. Mom is thinking of pickling the rinds, I like the rind raw!
Olivia loves watermelon, Bailie and I can take it or leave it. Enjoy yours!

We are traveling, getting soaked today but hopefully the next two days will be dry.
Now those are some pawesome things to do!! We’ll be working on CeCe this weekend to get her ready for a big adventure we’re headed out on at the end of the month!

Sounds like cleaning is on the plan. Mom cleaned our car, but it’s already a mess from today.

Love all those pictures and suggestions! We usually get some walks in different places on the weekend, but this weekend is supposed to be hot – so we may opt for the chill option with some tasty treats!

Because we are late visiting, we were wondering if you guys got to do all of those things with your human? Cinnamon LOVED that it was cool enough that she got to go on 3 long rides with Mom!
We did everything except for the grilling. Even Mom isn’t grilling for herself. She loves the BBQ, but doesn’t feel like doing it herself today.
