On our road trip, we visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. It is located in the city right on the shore of Lake Erie, a really beautiful setting! The weather was hot, so our tongues are out a lot! Come with us to see what we found to see in the area.
The LONG LIVE ROCK sign is a photo must. People took turns, so it went pretty well. Because the sign is so big, we look really small. We also decided to do a shot together with Mom.
This place is on the registry of historic places in Ohio, being the birth place of Rock ‘n Roll.
Johnny Cash’s tour bus from 1979 is now parked at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! He purchased this forty foot long bus back in 1979 and spent $553,000 dollars having it customized in Columbus, Ohio. We did not get to go inside, but it is a nice looking bus on the outside.
The area down by the lake is just beautiful. We didn’t get to go into the lake but it was nice being by the water where it was not quite as warm as up by the Hall of Fame. There is even a lighthouse behind us but it is a bit too small to see.
Our final stop as you can see is the Cleveland sign. What a great place for a photo, right? The city looks beautiful in the background on the gorgeous day we were there. People were super nice and offered to take a photo of all four of us which was super nice. Mom’s cousin traveled with us for part of our road trip. If you are traveling near Cleveland, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a place we highly recommend stopping at. The Brown’s stadium is also about a block away if you are a Cleveland Browns fan.

Six day road trip, every day new things to see and do. We are getting tired out.
Did you listen to rock and roll music in your travels? We sure do! Cleveland makes everyone look so tiny. Rock on! XOXO Sparkle
Usually we do have the radio on, but when Laura is with us then Mom and her talk so they don’t have music on.

Mom would like to see the inside of the bus but they were not doing tours when we were there.
You girls have always rocked! And now, you officailly ROCK!
A couple of shaggy fur, rock stars!
What a fun trip and sitting on the “C” is the perfect spot, Olivia!
C is for cool and I am a cool hound π
So cool! The money Johnny Cash spent on his bus is crazy! You look like you had a good time.
And that was even more money back in 1979!
You DO remember that’s my home town, right? It was great seeing your photos! I lived there 35 years and was one of the first to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (they had a special founders thing the first year and I was part of it!). If you ever go back to Cleveland you MUST check out their MetroPark System………it is the most beautiful chain of parks ever……..there are tons in NE Ohio…….so glad you visited my city!
We know you like the Browns but didn’t know you lived there for so long. We really liked the area. Tonight we are in the Detroit area and heading home tomorrow. I’m sure we will be back again one day. This has been a trip with tons of miles but we have made fun stops every day.
WOW! What a fun place to visit!! Looks like you all are having a blast!
