While Mom and my sisters were away, I was hanging out with squeaky chicken and my pet sitter for support. I really would not want to be with them because the car makes a mess out of me, but I also worry when they are gone. My sitter is super nice and we have a lot of fun, so I am a lucky dog to have her. The crazy travel trio was gone again over the weekend too. Thank dog I can stay home!
She took some photos of me over the six days the family was out of town. Almost everyone has my chicken in it. The first night there were bad storms and tornadoes just a few miles from us. The three of us, my sitter, chicken, and me were huddled together in the same room to ride out the scary storm. Luckily, only the BBQ on the deck was injured.
Sometimes I put on a strong, proud look for the camera, squeaky always looks the same, though.
Every now and then I feel a bit nosy. She can capture that pretty well too.
Of course, I’m stuck watching the cats when everyone is gone too. I make sure Bert eats all his food. If he doesn’t, I’ll get up and eat it for him.

I do enjoy just hanging out and being lazy because when Mom is home, we have to work out a lot. My sitter likes to take it easy just like I do. Sometimes I wonder if Mom is ever coming back, but she always does. I’m lucky to have such a great pet sitter and my squeaky chicken to keep me company.

We are lucky to have someone who is almost always around and works well for us.
It’s good that mom has a good sitter for you and you’re not stressed out traveling. That and you can take it easy for a week. Excellent.

LOVE these images. Yes, I think a sitter is the only way to go. We have a sitter that loves Lucy as much as we do and takes care of her when we’re gone. We tell Lucy that she’s going to day camp. I think every dog has that favorite toy. Lucy has a frisbee that she brings to us when she wants to go outside and play. She carries it around the house some days as well. Hope the sisters did well on their road trip. Have a blessed week.

I have my Furballz when everyone is home but when everyone goes on a trip, I prefer squeaky for some reason. Mom says the fireplace is a pretty standard builder one.
Great pictures. I feel so sad that you stay home when everybody else is away. But I know you prefer so that makes me a little happy. I’m glad you’re all back together.
Even though I want everyone to stay home with me, that wouldn’t be fair, so we have a pretty good solution.

I have a pretty nice nose I think. This weekend I get to go with Mom because the trials are close to home. It will be fun except for the car ride part.

Mom has never had a dog that didn’t like the car, but I am it. I’m just a miserable mess and it stresses her out so it is best that I stay home when I can.
Bailie I’m so sorry you get car sick. Bless your heart. Looks like you had a kitty and a chicken for company.

I enjoy the lazy time when everyone is gone, but I do miss them too. At least I don’t actually get sick, I just shake, pant, and drool the entire ride.
