Early Saturday morning, Mom, Olivia, and I headed out to Kiwanis Scout Camp at Marine on St. Croix. I haven’t done that many trials this year, and since Olivia didn’t get a spot, it became my trial. The camp is about an hour from our house and it is also, conveniently, on the way to Illinois, where we needed to go Saturday night.
Olivia and I could not wait to get back in the car. Road trips are something we love, even if we only returned home three days ago from our six day trip. Both of us we looking ahead to see where we were headed.
I got to search in some fun little cabins, and outside around a lot of logs and trees. It was a lot of fun, but unfortunately, I missed one hide and Mom made some mistakes causing me to miss another later in the day. Only one mistake is allowed to get a leg. No worries, Mom is more chill about it all now that Olivia is doing so well. We just enjoyed spending the day together.
To stretch our legs we could walk up the road which is where we found this sign. Of course, I would not pose with it because there are probably ticks all around it. It is a fun sign for ticks, though.
Social distancing was required as well as masks for the humans when indoors. Usually it is a six foot rule, but at camp it is three campfires. We never saw a campfire. It was a cold day, with a high in the low sixties but still no fire. You may recall back in March we found that in Iowa social distancing is measured in cows. Different places, different measurements, I guess.
Overall it was a nice day at Kiwanis Scout Camp. We enjoyed our trial and had a lot of socializing with friends in the parking lot. It ended early which is good because we had a five hour drive to Illinois for Olivia’s nose work trial on Sunday.
My GBGV Life is happy, so weβre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
that looks like a super place (apart from the ticks) … and we hope you had a super time!
We just like the tick sign. It makes them kind of look fun.
Have fun!!
I had a fun day and go to see lots of friends.
That looks like fun times and yup, the ticks are still active. yuck!
They sure are. We need some real cold weather to get them out of here.
I’m glad you had a good time, except for the ticks it looks like a fun place!
It was a real nice place. Ticks are always bad news.
Such fun, but the ticks are not fun. Not one bit. You are so cute.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
I got lots of attention from human friends which I love. Thankfully it doesn’t look like we got any ticks.
Traveling dogs. You never sit still.
We are pretty busy, but we love it. Mom was shocked that we wanted to get back into the car.
TICKS! Ewwwwwww! We hate those nasty buggers. I sure hope you did not find any. XOXO Sparkle
We only found the signs and they are kind of cute.
Happy Tuesday ladies!
Just reading ‘tick’ makes me itch and squirm.
You 3 ladies are such good travel partners
Hugs Cecilia
We love traveling because it is always an adventure.
What an interesting place for some nosework….except for those nasty ticks! Hope you didn’t find any of those.
Nope, no ticks on us, thankfully but we kind of like the signs they have warning about ticks.
Fun post- and I hate ticks- a few have gotten me over the years! Take care on that 5 hour drive!
Ticks are not good but we didn’t see any around or on us, thankfully.
You girls are busy!!! well if Iowa uses cows, and illinois uses campfires, then Zulu people have been spot on with using roosters and cattle to tell time for eons!
Chablis
We don’t know what we should expect to see next!
It does look like a fun place to explore, and i don’t blame you for keeping your distance from the ticks.
Ticks are bad and they love our shaggy fur but Mom didn’t find any on us.
