Olivia and I are super happy to be headed to the AKC FastCAT Invitational in December! This will be the second one ever. The top three fastest dogs in every breed receive an invitation. Invitations are based on the times are from the previous year, so 2020. Olivia is the fastest GBGV in 2020, I am the third fastest, so we both get to go and run!
Sometimes it is frustrating being a more rare breed, but with sports it is a blessing as we get to be first in so many things. Our names will be etched in history forever and we find that to be super cool. This year will be the second AKC FastCAT Invitational. Right now we are still numbers one and three for 2021, so we could go again next year, but we are taking it all one year at a time.
All of the top three dogs in each breed receive their own invitation per email for the event. Mine is above, Olivia’s is below. You can click here to see the list of all the dogs that are invited by breed.
We both love to run FastCAT, so it will be a lot of fun even if we only get to do a couple of runs.
The course is super fancy compared to what we are used to running. There will be a lot of media there, and fancy photographers too. Some of the really fast breeds will even get to be on TV, at least they were last year.
We are super excited for the experience and for a really fun road trip to a place we have never been before. Bailie has been to Florida several times and will be staying home. She really doesn’t want to do the drive and she isn’t fast enough to get an invitation, so it would be super boring for her.
It’s about two months away, but we will remind you closer to the time we go so you can follow along with us on this completely new adventure for all of us! Look out Orlando! We are headed your way for the AKC FastCAT Invitational!
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
