Mom and I did some fall and Halloween shopping at Pahl’s Market yesterday. Emma went there several times. Bailie and Olivia have also been there, but it was my first time. It is dog friendly and boy are there a lot of things to see and sniff. I was tired out when we got back into the car to go home!
We live super close to Pahl’s so Mom dashes over there for things every now and then. This time of year it is pumpkin time. I guess we are a bit late as there were not as many pumpkins I usual but there were still more than enough!
Not only do they have nice pumpkins, they have some tiny ones, weird and ugly ones, and different colored ones. Personally, I like a smaller, regular orange one.
The majority of pumpkins are inside right now, but there are quite a few outside as well. They have all the super sized ones outside for some reason.
Speaking of big pumpkins, can you imagine a pumpkin bigger than you are? I don’t have to because I found some. Mom would not even try to lift them. They are crazy big and there were some even bigger ones around too.
In one greenhouse, we found straw bales. Since I’m a Barn Hunt Champion, it is normal for me to climb on bales. Sadly, I only saw more pumpkins, no rats. That is when I said, “Rats!”
Halloween shopping in Minnesota has to include some Indian Corn. They have table after table of the stuff. Humans seem to like it for decorating, but I don’t see any use for it.
I came up empty in my quest to find that one great pumpkin. We bought a few small ones to bring to Gramma on the weekend for a little Halloween gift, but that was it. Really, they have so many pumpkins, I couldn’t choose just one anyway.
Only nine days to go until Halloween. Have you done your Halloween shopping yet? I think we are set and we have our costumes pretty much ready to go too.
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
Charlie brown has no longer to wait for da big pumpkin… wow they are big… you should see the pumpkins here… like a pawtato… sigh..
Most of them are not so big, but they have some huge ones!
Jumpin’ Cat fish you and Mom sure did find some beautiful and colorful pumpkins on your trip.
I must say in the next to last picture in the sea of pumpkins…You are the most beautiful and what a happy smile
Hugs cecilia
Thank you. It was a fun place with lots of good smells too.
That looks like a fun shopping place and a terrific Halloween spot. Your photos are really terrific!
Thank you. Mom loves to go there and see what they have.
I think clover and I are going to become your neighbor. There are so many cool things to do.
The house two doors down just sold. We like to do fun things.
Holy Smokes, Charlie Brown! It’s the Great Pumpkin! No, there he is! No, that’s him over there! No, over there! π€£π€£π€£πππ
Too many pumpkins to choose from!
You found a pawsome pumpkin patch!π That looked like fun. Have a great weekend! XOXO Sparkle
They have pumpkin patches too. We were at the greenhouse.
We wait until all the decorating is over and we go for the eating pumpkins!!!
They sell pie pumpkins. We sometimes eat pumpkin too.
Wow! Wish we were there!
It is a fun place.
We love your girls amongst the pumpkins and the indian corn! We love everything autumn!
Olivia really looks good in autumn with her coloring but we all enjoy this time of year.
I would have loved to tag along with you. Such a fun place.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. β₯
Lots of stuff and they have a small store with even more things but Mom didn’t take me in there.
Madison, you make such a cute pumpkin sitting between those bigger than you ones! Glad you got to pose on the cart and shelves. Indian corn is also a great photo op for you.
I had fun discovering all the stuff they have there.
What a fun da you had pumpkin hunting, Madison!! It keeps raining here…so we mostly have been just using last years Halloween stuff.
xoxo,
Rosy and the Gang
We haven’t had much rain so pumpkins are good around here. We use some of our old stuff every year.
I should get pumpkins but since we are on second floor of a condo, no one would even see them
Mom says we need to do things for us first and others second. If you want pumpkins because they make you happy, get some π
It looks like a fun place, we need to get a pumpkin to carve. We’re running late. Now that none of the children live at home, these holidays just creep up on me while i’m working and before i know it, i’m late!
We don’t usually carve them because Mom isn’t good at it and it is a mess, but they make nice decorations without being carved too.
Mom and Alex got the Halloween boxes out of the basement last weekend, but company showed up and they got put int the garage, This weekend is supposed to RAIN RAIN RAIN! Alas, we don’t get real pumpkins. They attract the bears, so ours are fake ones. But that’s OK, they don’t smell funny! We hope you have a marvellously happy weekend!
You really don’t need any bears trick or treating around your house, that is a very good point! We don’t decorate as much as we used to and we don’t do trick or treaters as Mom is sick of running to the door and us barking every few seconds. Halloween is more fun to watch than to participate in these days. Have a fun weekend!
Wow, those are some big pumpkins! Have a good weekend!
They don’t usually have jumbo ones but this year they had a lot of them!
Those are some seriously big pumpkins!
Mom says she has never seen such big ones there before but we did hear earlier in the summer that this would be a good year for growing pumpkins.
