Today, My GBGV Life begins its 11th year of blogging! My sisters and I only know life as blogging dogs as we have done it since day one! Mom says she can barely remember life before Emma started her blog. It was on this day, November 8th, 2011, that Emma published her first post, “How it all began”.
Everything has changed since that day in 2011, even our office looks different now. We never eat Milkbones, our blog has changed over time and is now more about our adventures, travel and sports. Emma started the blog wanting to draw attention to our breed, with no real plan. During her time as a blogger, she did so many product reviews it was crazy! She left me the blog when she passed and I continue to try to run it as best as I can.
I know Emma would be proud of all three of us for keeping the blog going. As Chief Blogging Officer, I try to keep it interesting, always fun, and with a lot of funny things. It is a lot of work keeping up posting five days a week, but we enjoy it, so we keep doing it. We would also miss our online friends if we ever stopped blogging.
Bailie is the one in the family that is the free spirit. She is doing her best to whip things up in the kitchen every now and then, but Emma is a tough act to follow. We will see if she manages to come up with something delicious for Thanksgiving. Since she doesn’t like to travel and isn’t very into sports, her role in posting is much more limited than me and Olivia.
Olivia really gets us the most content. Her love of sports and talent at sports keep us traveling and competing quite a bit. Hopefully it doesn’t get boring. We think traveling is so much fun and we love to see new and different places. Dog sports are also something we think are great for dogs and their humans to be involved in.
It’s crazy to think My GBGV Life has completed an entire decade and is still going strong. We are all proud of our work and we look forward to our 11th year of blogging. Hopefully you are all as excited to see what this next year brings as we are! Thank you so much for all love and support on our blog, social media, and some of you in person! Cheers to year number 11!
My GBGV Life is joining Comedy Plus for some Wordless Wednesday fun.
Happy Blogoversary! We love your blog and can’t imagine not being a part of your daily lives!
Once and a while we think of stopping when things are super busy but we would feel lost without it. We tried to stop for a week when we lost Emma but only held out for a few days.
Congratulations gang, that’s quite the milestone but we’re not surprised since you are always most entertaining!
We try to be fun and entertaining. Thank you for being friends on this blogging journey.
11th year cheers and hoorays! Your mom and you have shared so much with the internet buddies.
Hugs cecilia
It really is quite amazing all the posts and things that have happened over the decade of My GBGV Life.
Happy anniversary! Mom said she thinks we have been reading for most of these years! We have a few things we do because of your inspiration and information — we walk daily because you all made it clear that it is important and that mom could manage it and we would all be better for it! We stay in Drury Inns when we can when we travel and we always think of you girls! Mom calls my little brother’s harness that he wears to daycare his “uniform” because you girls called your harnesses your uniforms! We take funny cousin pictures! We take funny holiday pictures! And we are sure there is more but we can’t think of it right now … but — I guess we should stop listing things and say “Thank you!” We love the blog and it has enhanced our lives in so many ways! Thank you thank you thank you!
Thank you all for being such good friends. We haven’t stayed at a Drury Inn in a few years as there aren’t any where we have been going but we booked one already for the way down to Florida next month. Mom is excited about it. We too have learned from other bloggers and we are always thrilled when our ideas help out others. We will keep on posting and you keep on following! Have a Grand week.
Love the blog! Never miss a day. Yougirls bring happiness to my life.
Thank you. We really want to share a lot of happiness and also some things that may help others.
And may you have MANY MANY MORE!!! We LOVE YOU BLOG!!! I just realized that Emma started blogging just the day after my 3rd birthday, and only a few months after I came to live in St. Louis. I remember meeting her on the parking lot of the hotel where she and her mom were staying. Maybe nine years ago? Anyway it was so exciting to meet a real blogger! We will never forget that
Emma’s biggest fan, Chablis
We actually met in May 2016, it was Bailie and Emma. Mom dug up the photos. Thank you for being such great supporters over the years.
We love your blog and are really glad you keep it up. We enjoy reading about your activities and events – we are also into nosework, just not as much into the trials at the moment; We have looked for fascat and barn hunt, but apparently these are not as popular in our area as they are in yours!
You don’t have to compete to be into nose work. Practicing is also a lot of fun we think. FastCAT is really gaining popularity, so maybe it will spread to your area. Barn Hunt we know is in Colorado, and states in the northern portion east of there. Whatever sports you do, as long as you are having fun, that is the main thing.
I’m so happy I found you. You’ve been such a wonderful place to visit each day. Congratulations on your wonderful milestone.

We are so happy we found you maybe two years ago. You too are a positive place to go and we love that! Thank you for being a friend.
Happy Blogiversary!!!! Time flies by sooooo fast, doesn’t it?!
xoxo,
Rosy and the Gang
It sure does. We never thought blogging would keep on going but it is a habit and we all enjoy it.
Congratulations !
Thank you.
Hooray! Congratulations! May you keep going strong for many years to come.
As long as we enjoy it and our readers are happy, we plan to continue.
OMD! I wrote a long answer this morning on Mom’s phone and it disappeared! i WONDER WHEAT HAPPENED TO IT? I have read your blpgs my WHOLE life, and I love them after all I am a Petite GBGV! XOXO, Sparkle
Hmmm…weird…Mom doesn’t like to use her phone for things like that because weird stuff happens to her a lot. We are so glad to have you all as friends and we are excited to meet up next month! Petits are fun just like Grands and we always enjoy seeing Petits when we go to sports like barn hunt or FastCAT because we never see Grands.
Concatulations ladies! You guys have been blogging a long time. Mom says we did not visit as much in the early days as Queen Nellie’s blog was cat focused. But we do remember some of Emma’s reviews. We are so glad that we follow you now! Cinnamon really enjoys all the activities you guys do and wishes that she was younger. Now we shall sing you the song!

We had some cat blogs we followed when Emma first started but mostly we follow dogs because we are dogs I guess. It’s great that you found us and we found you and we are now friends. Thank you for the music π
You should be proud of your work! You’ve done a great job for so many years.
We are pretty proud and happy to have a decade behind us. When Emma started the blog she had no plan, no direction, just wanted to try blogging and it turned out to be something pretty big for a hound dog.
Rightfully so ~ being proud of your work, your competition and awards, all that we enjoy seeing you on your many travels … your (Mom’s) fabulous photos (and of course, your posing abilities) … All in all, a terrific blog every year! And here’s to many more …
Thank you. Mom remembers hearing about you and your blog years ago. So many people/pets are no longer blogging and we do miss them all. June is doing a great job for you right now π
Happy Blog-o-versary. We’ve enjoyed your posts for many years; here’s to continued success!
Thank you.
Congratulations on reaching your 11th year!! That means I’ve started my 10th and didn’t even realize it. I’ve become pretty inconsistent and I’m not sure where I’m going with it at this point. I’m just so busy getting the shop ready for Christmas, I can’t think about much else, plus things are just pretty quiet with both Luke and the farm right now.
You have to do what feels right. Forcing it doesn’t usually work very well. If the urge hits, then blog, of not, then not.
Thank you, you are right! That is what I am going to do for now. After the busy holiday season I will have more time and hopefully more inspiration!
Happy Belated Blogoversary!!!!!!!!!!!! Always love reading your blog !
Thank you. We still have fun with our blog, so we will keep on pawing at the keyboard.
Happy belated Blogaversary!!!
Thank you. The second decade is now rolling along.
