We’ve got some ideas for holiday dog gifts your best pup will absolutely love! There is something for every pup on your list! We furry ones enjoy the holidays and gifts as much as you humans do.Starting off our list are gifts that are really for you as much as for your dog.
Do you have professional photos of your pup or you with your pup? If not, find a great pet photographer in your area and set up a photo shoot. Everyone has cellphone pics these days, but “real” photos are so much better and a good photographer makes the shoot fun for you and your dog. These will be memories you will treasure forever.
How about some bonding with your dog? Check out local dog schools for classes that may interest you and your dog. Many offer enrichment classes for senior dogs which is really great. You don’t have to get into dog sports, but taking a class together and learning to work together will build a stronger bond between you and your dog, not to mention it will be fun for both of you.
Olivia suggests some good toys for your pup. Go through your dog’s toy chest and toss out all the old, beaten up toys. You know what toys she loves most, so buy her a few new ones. Is it balls, squeakers, stuffies? She’ll love some new toys and you will smile watching her play with them.
Healthy treats and food make for great holiday dog gifts! Look for single ingredient treats, made and sourced in the USA. Liver bites, turkey jerky, freeze dried minnow, and the like make tasty snacks. We love treats we get at Best Bully Sticks. Chews are also a real winner, but stay away from rawhide, especially all the colored rawhide stores try to sell this time of the year. Rawhide is usually made in China, can’t be digested by a dog, and is a bad treat in general. Grab a marrow bone at the butcher shop. It will be less expensive and healthy.
Another idea is to order something to put on top of your dog’s meals. We order green tripe patties, beef hearts, and beef kidneys. Mom puts them on top of our food and we go wild. These items are super healthy and to drool for! We order these delicacies from Raw Paws Pet Food.
Finally, keep your dog fashionable. How about some new collars for your best pup? We always love new collars especially from UpCountry. Maybe order a matching leash and collar set or a pretty new harness. It is dark out a lot this time of the year. Don’t forget to make sure your pup has a collar that lights up so she is seen.
Hopefully our suggestions for holiday dog gifts have been helpful, do you know what you will be getting for your best pup?
Those are great gifts – especially the treats!
Treats are a place humans really can’t go wrong!
Those were all great ideas and you girls are the most fashionable pups ever!
Awww, thank you. We like to be stylish when we can.
Those are all wonderful ideas! I like that your Mom has a drawer dedicated to your treats! All of our kitchen drawers are full of very uninteresting things…we will have to work on her to change that!
Mom calls it the treat drawer and we also have a shelf in a cupboard for all our evening chews.
Thanks for giving my mom some great ideas. We already have lots of Up Country matching outfits. Mom ordered Puffin some sweaters since she likes them so much. I have spied new toys she has been hiding. We got 2 new stuffed turkeys yesterday! Mom knows what treats we like. She will have us spoiled to the max! XOXO Sparkle
We are not surprised you will be spoiled as you have a pawsome mom. We are all lucky to have great homes.
Looks like you found all the best of the best for our babies. Well done.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
