Whose pup wants holiday gingerbread cookies? We all love these cookies, even picky Madison, so you may want to give them a try for your furry friend! I always start by getting all my ingredients together in one place. I’ll go over the basics with you, and then you can download my recipe to make them yourself, deal?
Start by combining the dry ingredients, and then the rest of the ingredients. Mix well until you have a nice dough. Roll it out onto a floured surface. This is a good time to sneak a little taste, just to make sure it is alright, wink, wink…
Oh my goodness, it is quite tasty as you can probably see. Sometimes I really wonder why we even bother baking cookies. I’m really happy just eating the dough.
Next you need to choose your favorite cookie cutters and cut out some fancy cookies to put on your baking sheet. Stick these tasty morsels into the oven to bake now.
While the cookies are cooling off, get your frosting ingredients together. I’m going to be using a white icing and melted carob as a dip on some of the cookies.
Once the cookies are cool, start your frosting. I was really concentrating on my work when I realized that cat bro Bert was about to sneak in and steal some of my cookies! Right away, I gave him my look!
My cookies are about done and I am really happy with the way they have turned out! They look festive and taste great. I will call this a win which makes me smile.

The kitties have their own treats and cat bro Bert is yelling at Mom to give him some most of the day! He did get a piece of the dough, but that guy would try to take it all!

I loved Gingerbred cookies on Christmas ! In Germany you find them everywhere, here in Belgium I haven’t seen them yet !
Mom lived in Germany for ten years and you are right, they are everywhere. Aldi here even has them from Germany on their shelves.

You are a wonderful chef! Mom says she will help Cinnamon make cookies, maybe next week. Do you do the dishes too? Cinnamon likes doing the pre-wash for some of the dishes for the dishwasher.
We all take turns doing some pre wash duties. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.
