We are all thankful for friends, sports, and travel. Actually, Bailie is not really thankful for travel, but Olivia and I certainly are! Through friends we have so many opportunities we would never have known about. Our sports are so much fun, and we get to see a lot of the country while traveling for our sports. I’d say we are a couple of lucky dogs.
Friends of ours that actually have helped Mom get more into nose and scent work held a fun competition called Scent Seekers. It was three different days of searching and earning points. Mom and Olivia participated and had a great time. It is good practice as well as fun. They made awards for the first through third place finishers in each division. Olivia is in the Advanced class, and she earned the bronze nose for third place. Most dogs are older than she is, so being two and doing so well is really awesome! She is proud of herself, as is the rest of the family!
We are getting really excited to leave on our Florida trip in a couple days. Mom started a packing list a while back, and now we are putting in our ideas about what to bring. I found an old Disney t-shirt in Mom’s stuff so I decided to wear it. We are not sure if we will see Mickey Mouse or not, but we have so many things planned to see and visit along the way to and from as well as around the Invitational. Our bag is partially packed already but we need to add a few more things. Although we love winter, we are looking forward to a few warm and sunny days on our trip. Two French hounds are about to hit Orlando with their paws running, so look out!
Olivia is super excited for FastCAT, but also for seeing the ocean. She has never done much swimming except for a couple tries at the indoor dock diving pool. The girl wanted to get a thong bikini to wear, but Mom said, “no”! Instead, she is packing her goggles, beach towel, and maybe the inflatable. She is also trying to sneak in a lot more snacks than what we need, but that is typical her. Sports and travel are really a great combination for the two of us as we love both so much. We are thankful for all the opportunities we have!

Don’t ever forget, winter is our favorite season. We are glad we are going early in the season so we have the rest of the winter to enjoy, but Florida should be fun.
