You Ain’t Nothin’ But A Hound Dog!
Love the “King” and love your adorable pups posing all over Tupelo in his memory … fun photos.
We don’t know him, but we all saw and learned a lot.
That must have been a fun day! Glad Elvis got the guitar and not the shotgun.
No kidding! We were shocked he even wanted one back then.
ME TOO!!!
Such cool photos! No dogs on the grounds? I didn’t know Elvis didn’t like dogs, so much for that hound dog tune!
It is rather rude not allowing dogs on the grounds but we understand as so many dog owners are not considerate.
Just think of our music scene if young Elvis had bought the gun or the bicycle? Enjoyed the virtual visit. Happy New Year to you all! Alana ramblinwitham
I know, we found that piece of history the most interesting of all.
How interesting for you all to track Elvis on your road trip! We didn’t know all of this before. Great photos! Have a great day. your friend Lilly
We all had no idea as well, but we learn as we go. Sometimes we learn fun and interesting things like the things about Elvis.
What fun decorations with the guitars.
I like the way you framed the photos of yourselves with them

Since is it WW, we thought we could write on the Polaroids so it was not a wordy post π and they look like vacation pics too.
You, I mean we ain’t nothing but hound dogs! Ooooowwwww! XOXO Sparkle
Oh yes! We would love to have been able to howl along with him singing our song!
How have I missed this on all our trips????
You need our navigator. She found all the cool places to stop going to and from Florida. We say, skip Graceland, but hit up Tupelo. It is a wonderful little town and there is so much to see there!
It sure was fun to tour along as you visited all these Elvis-related places! Thank you!
We are glad you enjoyed the stop.
How fun that you got to visit so much Elvis history. I didn’t know about the bicycle, gun, guitar thing either. Brilliant.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
We all learned a lot about Elvis on that day. It is a bummer we didn’t take more guitar photos but we might still be there photographing if we had. They are super cool and are all over town.
What great photos! Mom loved Elvis!
Glad you and your mom enjoyed our post. It was fun to learn some new things about the famous singer!
Great photos of the south but you doggies ‘steal the show you are so adorable ~ Xo

Awww, thank you. We had a great time!
You have been everywhere! Lucky you! Happy New Year!
We saw a lot of new states this year and that is fun.
so many nice photos! I really have to go there some day! Elvis is one of the old time greats in my book!!
He is a famous guy and Tupelo really honors him, Memphis not so much we feel.
What locky dogs you are! My Mom would LOVE to go to see all the Elvis stuff! She liked the Peter Max guitar the best!
They have well over 20 guitars scattered around and each one is different on each side too! We simply couldn’t spend all day there to photograph them all. It was fun to see all the things.
What a fascinating road trip. Thank goodness he got the guitar and not the gun!
I know. We never thought there was even a choice to get a gun!
He certainly put his home town on the big maps.
He does, but it is still a cute little town.
I didnβt know all of this before.
How fascinating for you all to track Elvis on your road trip!
Loving the photos of the two of you as always.
Mom loves to find new things to learn about and places to go and Elvis was the big one on this trip. It was fun to learn more about him and to find out that we think Tupelo is much more informative about Elvis than Memphis.
Oh that was a fun tour! Thakn you. Love the guitars on display. W O W ! Great share, thank you. HAPPY NEW YEAR tpo all of you and thank you again for the tour.
Glad you enjoyed our tour. We always love finding fun and interesting things to see and do when we travel. Happy New Year to you too!
My oldest sister was crazy about Elvis. I know she’s visited some significant places for him, but I’m not sure if his birthplace in Tupelo was one of them or not. I’m sure she’d love it!
Tupelo is wonderful. We would suggest going there before Memphis for sure, but not on a Sunday if you want to be able to go into places.
I cannot get over how SMALL his birth home is!!! I am wondering how long he lived in that house and how many people lived there?
We visited John Wayne’s birth place in Winterset, Iowa a couple years ago and that house was a bit smaller than Elvis’ house! I think they were just poor and made due with the shelter they had back then. They built the home for $180. Elvis’ Mom had twins, but Elvis’ twin was born first and was stillborn, then came Elvis. She couldn’t have more kids after that difficult birth of the twins so Elvis was an only child. Not sure how long they stayed in the roughly 600 sq ft home.
