Today we have the last images from our ten day, nine night trip to Florida. It was so much fun, but it was also a long time for us to be away from home and out of our routines. With a few days rest, we were good as new, though. This dolphin is at the Florida Welcome Center. Did you know humans can get a free drink of orange or grapefruit juice inside the building? All they have to do is ask!
One of my favorite things about our hotel was being able to spy on the people in the pool down below. Our room was on third floor and I had a perfect view. Sometimes people would see me watching them and wave at me. Mom says it is embarrassing. I say it is simple fun! The Gladys Kravitz in me never goes away! If you follow us on Facebook, you may have seen this photo or others during our trip.
Mom isn’t a fan of Florida. Bailie says we used to have a house in Fort Myers. Mom was always afraid of alligators, snakes, and lizards creeping around. We found this sign and had to take a shot of it for her. Our mom is terrified of reptiles.
This huge Ferris wheel was just a few blocks from out hotel. For us it makes a great landmark because it can be seen from far away. Every night they light it up in a different color, sometimes in rotating colors. We took this photo on an early morning walk.
Despite being busy tourist hounds and running FastCAT every day, we did get a lot of down time in our hotel. We had a one bedroom suite and our bed was super comfy. This is a shot of us tandem snoozing. The heat and humidity, plus being tourists wears us girls out.
Since we need our rest, Mom sometimes went places without us and we were fine with that. It is nice to have our own peace and quiet to recharge our batteries. One afternoon she went to Disney Springs where she found the Happy Hound store full of amazing stuff for dogs. She says anyone with a dog that vacations in Orlando needs to go to this store!
The Happy Hound doesn’t sell Minnie Mouse ears, but they do sell a lot of tasty dog treats. Madison is showing off the bag Mom brought back to the hotel for us. They were super yummy.
One night Mom went to a Disney Resort and when visiting one of the resort hotels, she got to see this huge gingerbread house! It is really made out of gingerbread! Judging from the people in the background I would say it is about two people tall.
Feeling adventurous? If you are, the ingredients are listed on the gingerbread man. You may want to start baking now if you want a house this size for the holidays next year! Feel free to email us photos of your finished house and we will post them for you, LOL!
Did I mention Olivia and I needed lots of recharging of our batteries? This is Olivia taking her afternoon nap one day. The bed is nice and big so she can really stretch out, and when you are in hot Florida, you need your space!
One of our favorite images from Florida, also just a couple blocks from our hotel is this upside down building. At first it didn’t really register what is going on, but then it did. We had to have a photo with an upside down building!
This shot is from one side of this poor flipped over building. It sure would be fun to see what it looks like inside, but guess what? No dogs are allowed inside.
One morning, I didn’t want to get out of bed and get going. Our FastCAT runs were not until 11am, so we didn’t need to leave the hotel too early, but still, I was trying to hide from Mom in the pillows. Needless to say, I was not successful.
Mom left and went out to lunch on one of our Orlando days. She says it was a car restaurant that was super cool inside and out. We have no idea, but she did have to take a shot of the sink in the ladies room. Isn’t that a clever idea? The sink is tricky when it comes to turning the water on and off. Mom had to ask for help. It turns out you have to push the blue lever for water.
Last but not least, we leave you with Olivia waiting for her turn in her finals run. It was humid with a temperature in the mid eighties. Things were not moving as fast as planned, so she was sitting across the street from the start end of the track trying to stay cool. She still managed to run well and win, so it could not have been all that bad! Hope you enjoyed the rest of our random images from Florida. From the looks of it, we wont’ be taking any big trips the first part of 2022, mainly staying fairly close to home but we do hope to do some more nice trips at some point when the sports opportunities are right for us.
My GBGV Life is joining Comedy Plus for Awww Monday today.
You girls sure found the most interesting things to see in Florida. We got a good laugh at you looking down on the peeps in the swimming pool, MadisonβΊ
It’s the Gladys in me. Mom gets after me because I always have my nose in the business of others!
we love the recipe of da fairy dust… and we had no clue that our dad built a house in florida LOL
LOL, I don’t think it was your dad as it is still standing!
Your mom found wonderful places we have not even heard of, and we live near there. Wow, what a trip! XOXO Sparkle
Sometimes tourists find things residents probably wouldn’t even look for!
You had such a great time. So much to see. Love that gingerbread house. That’s amazing. You two are so adorable.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
It’s a bummer we couldn’t see the gingerbread house, but no dogs at that place.
You girlish certainly packed a lot in for the time you were there ball great things, especially the amount of ribbons you brought home.
We did a lot of sleeping when we got home, but it was a lot of fun doing all the things we did.
WOW! oh WOW! I have heard of that upside down building, but the gingerbread house and the car restaurant sinks take the cake! ou are givnig my mom some scary ideas!!
Thsnkd for sharing this fabuous trip with us!
Chablis
Mom isn’t really a car person, so we don’t see a sink like that in our house in the future. There sure was a lot of fun stuff to see down there.
Wow, what fun things to see! Thanks for sharing those wonderful pictures.
You are welcome. It’s a bummer we couldn’t go to all the places but on the other paw, we needed some resting time on our own too.
I love all your pix but that one of the upside down building cracked me up. Especially when I read the Weim Twins’ comment! π€£
Imagine you don’t know that building exists and all of the sudden it is there in front of you! We were like what the heck and they our brains started to get it. Super fun!
Great photos! We don’t know which one is our favorite! Are you girls quiet when your mom leaves you alone in the room? My big brother and I were always quiet and good if mom left us alone, but mom and I were talking and there is no way my baby brother would be quiet!!! Great post. Happy New Year! your friend Lilly
wowee- love those sinks and all the photos of sleeping pups!
We were tired out as we were quite busy the whole trip.
Wonderful ‘road trip’ photos ~ your doggies certainly look like they had a wonderful time ~ They are so adorable ~ Xo
Wishing you lots of happy moments,

Thank you. We love to travel and have new adventures.
You sure saw lots of interesting places and things but I’m glad you didn’t see any alligators!
We definitely didn’t want to see any reptiles of any kind. Mom would flip out and want to leave the state immediately!
What fun! It’s time for adventures and I am ready. I think the Weim’s dad built the upside down building!!
Madison – you are an adorable Mrs Kravitz.
Sometimes Mom says I need to mind my own business, but I love minding the business of others! Adventures are always a lot of fun.
what a fantastic trip!! That dog store looks AMAZING!!!
Mom said it was hard to decide what to buy, they had lots of cool stuff for pups.
We LOVE the shots of you guys (and your Peep) visiting the Florida sites, but our absolute favorites are of you guys in bed! Yep! We LOVE to lounge on the bed too!
We know beds are the best place to sleep and when we are tired, that is where we go! It was a fun but tiring trip.
It looks like a super great time, i hope you get to go again, maybe somewhere up north so it’s not so hot for you.
Mom wants to take us out west or to the north east. We will see if we can figure that out this year. Heat is not our thing and Mom isn’t a fan either.
Loved seeing your photos! Whitley and Finley got to go to Florida, but I hasn’t been yet. Momma says I might get a big trip this summer.
We don’t like heat and neither does our mom, so Florida is tough on us but it is still fun to travel and be there for a short time. We had a great time.
