One reason we love the cold weather is that it makes being cozy so much better! We all enjoy cuddling and even cat bro Bert and I find a truce at some point and share the warmth of the fireplace. No worries, we will still fight like cats and dogs once we are done with our snoozing, but we can be civilized sometimes.
Cat bro Bert love a good sun puddle, but on the other paw, who doesn’t? Even Mom sometimes takes a power nap on the floor in a sun puddle. In this photo, all the beds are picked up as Mom was about to clean, but while waiting for the vacuum, Bert got in some sun time for a sun bath in the winter.
He spends a lot of time in his cube in the living room. Mom sewed the cushion in the bottom because I used to steal it all the time and I ripped a hole in it. Somehow she knew it was me who was stealing the pillow. Mom is super smart I guess. For some reason, I can’t resist irritating my kitty brother, but he enjoys picking on me too.
Now that fun is over for me, but the cat has some peace for sleeping. The interior is all covered in fleece along with the fleece pillow under him. It gets super warm in there when he takes a nap. I do miss stealing that pillow, though. It was a lot of fun while it lasted.
When Bert is looking to get away from us hounds, he goes upstairs to his basket bed to bask in the sunshine. He enjoys snoozing there, but he can also watch all the neighborhood happenings from the window seat.
I think his favorite spot of all is alone in front of the fireplace. He really enjoys the heat at the end of the day. Once we go up to bed, he stays there to be all by himself. He does look pretty cozy there despite the below zero cold weather outside.

Bert is such a silly cat whatever a cat is. I have never met a cat. We all love sun puddles, but we don’t get many in our house. Puffin and I will go out in the backyard to find our puddles of sun. XOXO Sparkle

Mom said she thought she might sneeze looking at Bert and all the comfy beds and pillows he has! Mom is terribly allergic to cats and, get this, to dogs! We are some kind of hypoallergenic dogs so she is okay with doodles (thank heavens!) My brother and I love a good snuggly bed too! Bert looks very comfy and warm! Have a great day. your friend Lilly
Mom has a cat allergy, but she has always had a cat anyway. Sometimes if the furs get in her eyes they get all red and swollen up. We are pretty good for people with allergies as we don’t shed. Be happy you don’t live with a feline, they are a pain in the furs for sure! Happy Friday and hi to your mom too!

He is always around getting into some kind of trouble but it is our dog blog, so he only gets to come on it sometimes.
What lovely cozy pictures. We have a cat (Clarence) too; but he is VERY not sociable with us.
Our kitty sis Sophie doesn’t like dogs and we rarely see her. Bert wants to be a dog and is always in the midst of everything!

Ha, I don’t think he would have the drive or speed. He does run when he tries to run away from home and Mom has us chase him down, though.
Bert is one happy cat! Jo Jo says he is handsome too! We get along with our hairy slobbery sister too and we LOVE Bert’s cube! We have added it to our list of things Mom must get for us! We hope you guys have a marvellously happy weekend!
