There are seven or so things that I am really thankful for in my life. Actually, there are a lot more than seven, but I chose my top things. As you know I’m a super happy pup, and many of these things are the reason why.
My Things To Be Thankful For
1. A Mom, Lots of Love, Our Home
I am a Velcro dog. My mom is the center of my world. Don’t get me wrong, Bailie and Madison love her too, but I want to be with her, attached to her, all the time. I’m so lucky to have so much love from her and we have a great place to live too. Mom and I are similar in what we love, sports, being silly, and snuggling top that list. I’m super lucky she chose me to be her puppy out of all my siblings.
2. My Sisters
Many dogs live as an only dog which may have advantages. I can’t imagine not having to share anything, and getting all the attention. In reality, I’m happy to have two sisters so there is always someone to play with or to hang out with. Madison and I are super close and we get to have so many fun adventures together.
3. Tasty, Healthy Food And Treats
How lucky I am to have such great food and treats available to me. Bailie and Madison started their lives with kibble, but I jumped right into the raw stuff. Our treats are also very tasty, and so healthy. Many dogs don’t even have food, or have cheap, not so nutritious food, so I know I am super lucky. Mom also loves variety, which means we don’t get bored with our food either.
4. Comfy Places To Sleep
Play hard, sleep hard, that is what I love by. Because I need my rest, cozy beds are important and we have a lot of them at our house. At night I even get to sleep in the big bed right next to my mom which is the best place of all!
5. All My Dog Sports
Of all my things to be thankful for, my sports are way up there. Mom and I adore playing together and getting pretty ribbons. At my first scent work trial I was only six months old but I still earned high in trial, my novice exterior title and many other Q’s and placements. Since that trial, I have not stopped. Mom and I have some lofty goals, but we tend to hit them as a team and it makes us both super happy and proud.
6. Tons Of Fun Toys
Now I am two, but I still really enjoy playing with toys. Every night I grab a different toy to bring up to bed. We have some toys downstairs, but we also have our toy room upstairs. When I am bored I can go up to the toy room and find a toy I haven’t played with in a while. I don’t think we will ever run out of toys. The Furballz are still the toy favorite for all of us in this house.
7. Opportunities To Explore The World
Traveling and walking are both great activities for me to explore the world. Compared to a lot of dogs, we get to travel more and see more places than most. There is nothing better than new sights, sounds, and smells to discover in new places. 2021 was a huge travel year for us and boy was it a fun time! We can’t wait to see where we may end up traveling to this year.
Those are some of my favorite things I am thankful for. Mom knows I appreciate everything I have, and I make sure and let her know just in case she forgets. I guess I am just one lucky hound!

I totally agree with your choicesxexcept for 5 and 7. I don’t do sports but I did earn my CGC. I do really live to explore when I go to my friend’s horse ranch. Mom let’s me run free and I stay away fro the horses. There are wild turkeys and other animals there, hut I always stay close to my mom and my sister, Puffin. XOXO Sparkle
We would run wild and then panic wondering where Mom went to! Glad you have a good place to explore.
You have so much to be thankful for, Olivia. Love that first photo of you tackling your mom!
I do it to her all the time and she loves it.
You are definitely one lucky hound! This is an awesome post. Your pictures are terrific. Mom likes to say that my brother and I are two lucky doods! For a lot of the same reasons you listed!! Have a great day. Enjoy your home. (my brother brings a toy to bed too!!! One time mom found a tennis ball in her bed when she was changing sheets!!! He had left it there — it made mom laugh and laugh!
You guys are truly lucky as well. We don’t know your mom, but we know you all have it pretty good there at home too π Watch out for those sneaky tennis balls!

I do work hard a lot of the time, and I am a super nice girl too.
What a wonderful list of things to be thankful for. From our perspective, all of that should be a given for life with dogs.
This is true, but sadly not the case for all pups.
