It was off to Iowa on Friday! Me, Madison, had a nose work trial in Martensdale, Iowa. Olivia loves to travel, so she gets to ride along. We left on Friday morning so we could make some stops along the way. There is one place we always enjoy stopping to go for walks if the weather is nice. It isn’t especially exciting, but we like the walking trails through the fields and woods. During the week it isn’t very busy which is ideal for us.
Here we are posing on a pile of logs. The weather was warm, around sixty degrees, and the sun was out most of the time. It feels good to get out and stretch our legs after riding for a couple hours.
We always stay at the same hotel in DesMoines because it is nice, dog friendly, and has everything we need within a couple blocks. After checking in, Mom did some work on her computer, and then we went for a nice walk around the lake that is just down the road. Dinner is always served right after our evening walk, and then we are ready for a little nap. Olivia claims the corner chair is for her. I let her have it.
I am happy to crash on the bed, it has more space and I think it it more comfortable. Comfy is big for me!
Eventually, Olivia gets tired of guarding things and realizes she wants to do what I am doing. I am enjoying my rest on the foot of the bed, while she enjoys a spot up by the pillows. Mom went out to dinner with our niece, so we stayed in the room and did our napping. We girls need our beauty rest!
My GBGV Life is joining Comedy Plus for Awww Monday today.
You look so comfy! Most of all I’m thankful you are safe! XOXO Sparkle
It was weird as we were not worried at all since we have tornado warnings at home and never pay attention because nothing ever happens. They did tell us the tornado passed by and could be seen from our location but we were in the safe place at that time.
Napping is very important to the health and well being of our fur buddies. Lucy is a master napper.
We work really hard on our napping skills, daily.
Good luck in the trials! I’m so happy that you have a “regulars” spot to crash. It’s important for your mom’s routine, and that makes you girls more “routine” too.
Chablis
We are all pretty good at routines around here.
You all look very comfy in your own spots. Good luck, Madison!
We are, but in the end, we all like to crash on the same bed for the entire night.
Oh Wonderful photos of you two sweet travelin dogs ~ how exciting ~ a road trip ~ Xo
Wishing you love and laughter in your days ~

We both love traveling. It’s exciting to see where we go.
Oh my such great photos of such wonderful pups!
Thank you.
Awww, I always enjoy your road trips. I’m so happy your mom lets me tag along.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful mom. β₯
We have a big one coming up again in about 10 days π
Itβs amazing that you can leave them in a hotel by themselves. Clover would be howling so loud they would throw us out. Good girls.
The rules always say you are never to leave dogs in a room unattended, but Mom leaves us in the room all the time. When she is gone, we are very quiet, but if she is with us we are loud as we need to protect her.
Looks like a lovely weekend for traveling! Hope all that relaxing gave you energy for your nosework trial.
Friday was lovely, but Saturday was dangerous and pretty darn scary. We will post on that tomorrow.
Road trips are the best! Looks like you two had a nice start to yours!

Day one was great but day two, well, it is something we won’t ever forget but would not really want to do again. We’ll post on it tomorrow. Thankfully we are all fine.
You’re such good girls to stay in and rest quietly while your Mom goes out. Good behavior makes you welcome and makes people glad to have you back!
Mom picks up after us too which so many people don’t do. It’s no wonder so many hotels won’t allow dogs or charge a big fee.
WoW! Road trips are fun! It has been forever since we went on one (Before Covid). We are sorry we have not been around much. Mom has been working on the committee to stop the school district from closing our local elementary school. We are hooping it will all be over by the end of the month

We have missed you guys, but we understand that sometimes there is more to life than blogging.
Awww… so cute and happy! It seems like a memorable road trip.
Have a nice day!
It is definitely one we will not forget. We are just happy everyone was safe and nothing happened.
