Being two has been a busy dog sports year for me. Today for my birthday week, I’m looking back at all my new titles from the past year, and I sure earned a lot of them!
My New Dog Sports Titles Earned While Being Two
New Fast Cat Titles And Accomplishments
On June 12th, I earned my DCAT Title while in Grinnell, Iowa. A DCAT is earned when one has 500 points.
The best thing was being invited to the AKC FastCAT Invitational in Orlando, Florida in December. I went in being the fastest GBGV for 2020, and I managed to hold onto my place in the runs we did in Florida, being named The Fastest GBGV. I’m pretty proud of this and the trip was so much fun too!
New AKC Scent Work New Titles
While I was two, I did a lot of Scent Work Titles. The photo is from Caprise Adams. She takes amazing photos! Below is a list of my new Scent Work Titles earned while being two. Now I am competing at the Detective level.
- 4/25 – SCE – Scent Work Container Excellent
- 5/1 – SBE – Scent Work Buried Excellent
- 5/1 – SWE – Overall Scent Work Excellent
- 8/21 – SIM -Scent Work Interior Master
- 10/2 – SBM – Scent Work Buried Master
- 10/3 – SEM – Scent Work Exterior Master
- 2/20 – SCM – Scent Work Container Master
- 2/20 – SWM – Scent Work Master
New NACSW Nose Work Titles
Nose work is my favorite sniffing sport. Photo is from Shawn Rossman. It is not easy, but I did pretty well with it while being two. Of all the titles in my dog sports year, the nose work titles mean the most to me. Earning my NW3 Elite is a really big deal, especially being just two and a half years old. Below I have my Nose Work Titles.
- 3/27 – NW2 – Nose Work 2
- 5/9 – L1E – Level 1 Exterior Element Title – Placed first overall
- 6/27 – L1V – Level 1 Vehicle Element Title
- 7/2 – L2I – Level 2 Interior Element Title
- 7/3 – L1C – Level 1 Container Element Title
- 7/10 – NW3 – Nose Work 3
- 9/18 – NW3 – Nose Work 3 – Placed third overall
- 9/26 – NW3 – Nose Work 3
- 10/9 – NW3 Elite – Nose Work 3 Elite
- 3/13 – L3I – Level 3 Interior Element Title – Placed third overall
Wowzers! I sure was busy while being two, but it was a lot of fun for sure! Being three will be just as much fun I bet! I can’t wait to see where I get to go and what I earn in my next dog sports year!
