Let’s bake some tasty Easter cookies for dogs! I thought I would put out my recipe a bit earlier than usual so the humans have more time to get the ingredients and make the cookies for their pups!
My recipe is pretty healthy and really tastes good. It has more ingredients than my recipes usually do, but it is worth the extra effort. Your dog will love you for these cookies! You can grab my recipe at the end of this post.
The ingredients for the cookies are pretty standard. Most of the items people have in their kitchen already. Don’t forget you will also need some cookie cutters. Thankfully we have a couple rabbit cutters in our collection.
Start by mixing all the ingredients except the dry ones, flour, oats and baking powder, together. Add in the dry ingredients and mix well. It is not easy, so you may need to use your paws to knead the dough together.
Roll out the dough to about a quarter inch thick and start cutting out the cookies. Don’t forget the best part, tasting the dough! Remember baking is a self rewarding behavior.
Oh my dog! This dough is going to make some really tasty Easter cookies. I will do my best not to drool on the cookie dough, but it is going to be tough.
Even though my cookie cutters are fairly large, I will still get about two sheets of cookies. Next I place them in the oven and wait for them to bake. Once they are out of the oven and cooled off, it is time to frost them if you so desire.
I decided to frost some and leave some as is. Now it is time to taste these cookies and they are really tasty Easter cookies! The peanut butter, applesauce, and carrots make a super combination!
Here is a close up of my plate of cookies, half frosted, half plain. Don’t they look nice? I’m thankful I have such great cookies to celebrate Easter with. My sisters love their taste too! Grab my recipe here and make some for your own furry friend!
