I’ve been to Wall Drug twice, the last time in 2002. I don’t remember the jackalope; obviously they’ve made changes. It’s a wonderful place when it’s not windy. Alana ramblinwitham

Everything would have been better without the wind, but we had wind, so we did what we could.
These are awesome photos of your sweet doggies and I have fond memories of Wall Drug ~ visiting with my son after the death of my husband his Dad ~ the road trip was fascinating ~ Xo
Wishing you laughter and love in your days,

Sorry about your husband. It is quite an interesting place. Unfortunately it was so cold and windy and part of it wasn’t open, but we may visit again one day.
They sure grow big bunnies in South Dakota and they have antlers!
It is the home of the Jackelope, very huge creatures.
Molly my thoughts exactly …then I saw the it is a Jackelope!!!
Looks very cold Get back in the car
That is pretty much what we did and then headed for the hotel.
Wow it was windy, look at the leashes blowing. Looks like you did have fun though, new adventures.
40 to 60 mile an hour wind gusts. It was not real good for getting out and taking photos.
Jumpin’ Catfish that is some WIND it is about to blow your ears away!!
Hugs Cecilia
We have even more windy photos from the Badlands we will post later this week.
Looking at you furs and leashes blowing in the wind, I’m sure glad your mom did not get blown away@ XOXO Sparkle
Our favorite local weatherman when it is super windy always says to hold onto your small furry animals. Mom held tight onto our leashes.
Great shots and it sure is windy. The leashes are blowing sideways. You’re so cute the both of you.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
Mom has never been in wind like we had all day. It was crazy, especially when she couldn’t open the car door at the gas station!
wow your mama is very brave… what kind of animal is that? a donkey-deer-roo-rabbit?
It is a fake animal called a jackelope, jack rabbit, antelope mix.
WINDY!!! your mom is this first person I know who actually got to ride a jackalope. They are pretty tricky!
Madison tried to climb up too, but it is very slippery.

What a “cool” place!! Hopefully you can get back there when it’s a bit warmer!

The only positive is that no other fools were around because of the cold and wind. We had the place to ourselves.
You sure saw some darn interesting sights!
Some funny ones for sure.
Looks like a breezy day at Wall Drug. Also looks like a great place to visit.
If it hadn’t been so cold and windy it would have been a lot more fun.
Brrrr boy it look quite freezing out there! Love the Jackalope!
Mom was freezing, so we didn’t stay long.
Very interesting place to visit; and how did your Mom like the ride on that jackalope?
He seemed to be frozen and he never moved.
Wonderful windy scenes!
Definitely plenty of wind for wind scenes!
You always find the cutest and most extraordinary objects/subjects for photography.
Love, love, love the photos!
Keep them coming!
Thank you. We get out and about a lot.
