Madison and Olivia have decided to start getting acquainted with Nelson, our new little brother. Mostly Olivia is interested in a new play buddy, but Madison is also curious. It started Tuesday night with a big game of chase and wrestle in the living room and then started up again yesterday next to Mom’s desk while she was working.
For the most part, Olivia is pretty gentle with Nelson. Their game is to be slow, make lots of noise, and move carefully with some pausing between moves.
Nelson is not afraid to use his super sharp little teeth on Olivia’s ear, but she doesn’t seem to mind the teeth.
Make sure to have your volume up so you can hear Olivia being loud. She is such a silly girl!
Madison pretends to not care at all about what is going on, and Olivia is not afraid of getting hit with Nelson’s big paws.
Can you see how gentle Olivia is while getting acquainted with our little brother. We can tell she does love the little fellow.
Do you know Eskimo kisses? This is Olivia and Nelson’s version of that. Nose to nose.
Here is a short video of the three of us playing chase and wrestle in the living room. Bummer for Nelson that he is too small to get up on the chair most of the time! Soon he will be big enough. The three of us were super wound up and it took a long time for us to mellow out and go to bed but we had fun.
Every day we get better about letting Nelson into our pack. He is going to be a great fit and we are thankful to have a little brother.

Sometimes we do that here too! and sometimes we play but since I am getting older it isn’t quite as active as Chester would like it to be. He would fit right in with you all!!!! Nelson is a smarty pants and that is usually a good thing. Bailie plays with Olivia, but that is about it. She isn’t into puppies at all, never has been. Don’t let Chester push you around.
