Sunday was a double title day in nose work for me, Olivia. We went to two element trials at the Scott County Fairgrounds in Jordan. I competed in both the L2E, Level 2 Exteriors, and the L2V, Level 2 Vehicles. It was a long day with eight different searches and sixteen hides! The only time such a thing has happened in our family it was Madison in Level 1 Containers and Interiors.
Madison and Nelson came along for support. Actually, Nelson came along to meet new people and some dogs. He had a fantastic time and got so many treats from people, it was nuts! Being a puppy has some advantages I guess. Mom took Madison and Nelson for a few walks to break up their boredom and to let me get some rest.
My day started with Exteriors. I had a search with three hides, one with one hide, and two with two hides. Since I found everything, I got my L2E Title. Mom and I were really happy to have at least one new title. The weather was ideal because it wasn’t too hot and there was some nice wind.
After a break the afternoon L2V started. Once again I had four searches, one had three hides, one had one hide, and two had two hides. My last search was a big semi truck with a dumper thing on the back. Mom says it is the funniest search she has ever seen from any of her dogs. I found one hide but I could not find the second one and I kept wanting to go under the truck. Finally, Mom let me go under the truck, but then she couldn’t see what I was doing. She ran around the cab to get to where she could see me. I was still under the truck with my head upside down and my nose on the second hide. Hopefully it will come out in the video! That move earned me my L2V Title.
I’m no dummy and I know when I do well. People comment on how proud I look when I walk around, but you know what? I am proud, so why not show it off. It was a fun day and I’m thankful I managed to earn both of the titles I was trying for.

He did enjoy himself most of the time. Madison was a bit miffed because she wasn’t competing and had to be with Nelson, but it all worked out.
