Remember the semi truck search I told you all about last week that was so very funny? Well, we got the still photos and can piece together how it all went down. This first photo is me finding the first hide. You can’t see what I’m doing, but it was a normal find and alert. By the way, can you tell we were team orange that day?
Since Mom wouldn’t let me go under the truck, I decided to go all around it. Here I am almost all the way around and not picking up any odor from the second hide.
As we got back to where we started I was insisting on going under the cab of the semi truck once again. Finally Mom decided to believe in me and even if we should be disqualified, she let me go. In this third shot she realizes she can’t see what I am doing over on the other side, so she dropped my line and started to head over. See me on the other side. I have found the hide and am now trained to wait for the human to come and pay me.
Here she comes. Thank dog I have an active mom who loves to move fast or we would be in trouble! Both of us run a lot when we search. It is fun to watch judges try to keep up with team orange!
Ah yes, there is my mom. Nice of her to show up. My tongue is already anticipating some nice rewards for my crawling under the cab work.
Are you kidding me? Mom feels the need to make sure I found the hide before she calls it. Sometimes I really have to wonder about having her as a teammate! Why else would I be hanging out here waiting for her?
Finally, she calls “Alert” and waits for the yes from the judge and then I get a lot of nice treats for my hard and creative work. Now that my friends is how a hound searches a semi truck! We are thankful for still photos that can be used to tell a story.
My GBGV Life is joining Brianβs Home Blog in the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
good job! to you for finding both and to mom for running and for the photographer who grabbed such good photos
It was a very strange way of searching, but Mom trusts me and it worked.
Great job, Olivia! Go team orange!
Thank you.
You had it from the beginning, didn’t you baby girl? Silly Mom made it a lit harder for herself! Go Team Orange! XOXO Sparkle
I knew right away but Mom didn’t want me to go under the truck. Finally, she let me go.
Oh Our GOODNESS!!! Mom was having a sort of sad morning and your pictures made her smile so big. Thank you for sharing this and thank you for being such a great hound!! you knew what you were doing. We think the captions are absolutely wonderful “nice of you to show up!” HAHAHAH! have a great day. your friends Lilly and Chester
Oh dear, hope things are alright with you all. A sad mom isn’t any fun. I really love my sniffing and Mom loves doing it with me even if she isn’t always the best teammate. Have a Grand day!
There’s nothing wrong with your mom. You do your part and she does hers. It’s how it works. Yes I can tell you were team orange.
I’m thankful I found you, your siblings and your mom.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
We each have our job and most of the time we work together really well.
That was brilliant!
That is what I think too, but Mom didn’t think I needed to go under the truck. Sometimes I have to push her to get the right idea.
Way to go Olivia! You sure were brave to go under the truck.
I have gone under vehicles at class many times. Not afraid of it at all.
That was some fun pictorial and of course we knew you found the hide!!! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Of course I found it. I’m Olivia, LOL!
Sometimes Wouldn’t be nice if Mamas would just ;listen to us the first time??
Great job!!
xoxo,
Sunny, Rosy & Jakey
It would be nice. Mom is working on getting better about it, but she says it is hard.
Olivia, you are a gem and your Mama is very special, too.
Mom says I’m her nose work ace.
Oh, what an experience! Our nosework instructor really works at telling us to stay away from under vehicles, but that truck is soooo big, I guess going under is OK.
It really depends on the vehicle and the judge but I was so determined to go under to get to the hide Mom was willing to risk an NQ but it all worked out.
WOW!!! FABULOUS photos!!! Way to go Team Orange!! These REALLY tell a story.
I think your mom should write books – for kids at least – about your adventures. Starting with Emma. A whole series in fact. History(birth on up) and highlights of each dog, AND a book for each type of activity in which they compete.
You have the photos already. You would just need to add a few words to each one describing what they were doing and showing the ribbons after each trial you choose to use. Actually, you have already written these books. Just shorten your posts under your daily photos. For preschoolers, just have the photo and one or two words. For k-3 grades “this time I won”, ” here I come”, “it was cold” for 4-6 you could expand to more of what you have ALREADY posted.
ALSO…you could write a cook book for dogs – again – just take the recipes you bake, and add photos ofthe dogs in their stages of baking. Potential title ” Emma’s Eatery”
Awww, thank you. Mom and Emma wrote their one book and she said it was a good experience, but she won’t write another. It is way too much work and without someone promoting it, it doesn’t really pay off.
How cool! I see a lot of those on da highway when I go to Plano, BOL.
It was a nice dirty truck but I was only interested in finding the hides on it.
You are very clever. π
I’m pretty smart when it comes to my sniffing.
