Grin and bear it, folks! Today is my first birthday week blog post and I thought I would look back at my first year when I was a puppy. It’s Awww Monday, so be ready for some cutie pie photos of me as a youngster.
Mom took this photo the day I arrived at twelve weeks old. Can you even believe this is me? I don’t look anything like that now!
I always enjoy a good nap, and as a puppy I was the same way.
Mom has a lot of names for me, wiggle butt, cutie petutie, and smarty pants. It appears that smarty pants fits me quite well or maybe I am just a Sally Jesse Raphael double?
That cat bro Bert has been trouble for me since the beginning. How rude of him to put his behind on my head when I was sleeping.
This cat bed cozy has been around for over twenty years. Mom says the cats have never used it, but every single puppy, starting with Katie, has enjoyed playing around with it. Nelson plays with it a lot now!
My first winter here in Minnesnowta was a doozy! It was very cold, lots of double digits below zero, and a lot of snow. I loved it, though, and had a lot of fun.
Mom can be kind of mean with these baby gate things. All of us have been locked in or out of rooms as puppies. How can she do this to such a sweet little face?
My first year I traveled a lot. When I was five months old I went to Florida which means I traveled through eight states. Mom thought I should try the pool too. I was not a big fan, but on the float thing it was alright.
In May at eleven months old I traveled to Lake Las Vegas, which is another nine states total. I didn’t like traveling at all back then, and I still don’t, but I have done a lot of traveling. On this trip I went over twenty four hours without going to the bathroom because we couldn’t find any grass. How silly I was!
Finally, I have one last photo showing me practicing my hunting skills. Hope you enjoyed the photos I chose from my Grin and bear it photo album for today! Just four more sleeps until my birthday!

Who would ever guess that you are so “colorful” underneath your longer white furs! We love the picture of you on your float in the pool!
I really changed in color. It will be fun to see how Nelson ends up. Madison stayed dark and Olivia kind of faded but not completely.
I remember that very cold winter in Minnesota! I was born at the end of November and left Duluth mid February. It was cold and I loved romping in the snow! Happy Almost Birthday! XOXO Sparkle
Mom says we had a lot of days with -20 that winter and a lot of snow. We will take that over warm, gray winters anytime.
Bailie, you were/are so cute! Love the photo of you and Bert, the butt head! LOL
Bert is the butthead, but in the photo it appears to be me!
Bailie you gave me all kinds of happy and Awww moments today. I love the one of you floating on the pool raft
Hugs Cecilia
Thank you. I did enjoy the pool, but only on a raft.
What a cutie pie your were as a pup and what a beautiful girl you are now. What a delightful post to start your birthday week.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
Thank you. We love awww Mondays as they do make one smile on a Monday!
we love the cute names your mama has for you ;O) and we smiled at the photo with at bro bert :O)
That cat is nothing butt trouble, literally!
These puppy pictures were so much fun! What an amazing first year you had!! I giggled at Sally Jesse and also laughed at the SHORT baby gate! We had one like that for Dakota. For Levi we now have TALL, TALL, TALL METAL GATES because he jumped the one as tall as the one you had when he was a PUPPY!!!! Now he just bashes them open (which is a HUGE problem!!)
We have tall metal ones too, and Mom uses two one on each side of the door frame or we will pull them out and escape.
Those puppy pics are super adorable!!! Happy Birthday Week!
Thank you.
Oh, what lovely puppy pictures of your! You did ‘bare’ all! Some of the photos show your wild hair growing in, too.
I’ve had that wild hair for a long time, but it looks good on me.
Bailie,
Great photo album. I really like the one of you on the floater in the pool. It’s so hot this week. Being in the water sounds like a good idea. Too bad, we don’t have a pool so I can take splash. Have an awwwesome week, furiend!
We don’t have a pool at home, it was at a house in Florida. We prefer to swim in real water like a lake, though.
You are such a darling pup! And Oh MY so patient with Bert Butt Head! Cheers!
That cat has bothered me my entire life, as you can see!
So many cute moments as a puppy….and you just keepm getting cuter and cuter!
Thank you. Mom says I’m still cute, but more beautiful as I get older.
Oh, Bailie, you were such a cutie pie! How the years have flown by! I love your first-year photo album! Got me thinking about my girls’ first years … with Callie & Shadow the cameras on my flip phone were awful so I mostly used my little Canon point-n-shoot. Even Ducky’s earlier photos were on the pns … Now, in case I miss your big day later this week: Happy Birthday Sweet Bailie!!!! ππ
Mom has always been into photos, so we have a lot of them, but Mom says one can never have enough because one day there will be no more photos when we are gone.
Adorable puppy photos!
Thank you.
You were a charmer, and still are!
Thank you. I am a pretty friendly, lovable girl.
Wow, hard to believe it’s been a year. Happy Barkday, cutie!
I know, time flies by!
Once adorable, always adorable
Thank you. Adorable in a different way.
