I’ve seen lots of birthday hats at my parties over the past years. I’m thankful Mom always makes sure we have a fun hat, good treats, and a nice party with my siblings. Birthdays are a good time to remember the past, so I am looking back at my previous birthdays.
In 2014, I turned one. Boy did I think I was all grown up and we had a swell party to celebrate. Emma and Katie were both there and we had cake and ice cream which we had to wait to eat. The waiting is always tough!
I turned two in 2015. This year I had a blast, Emma was into stealing my treats, and Katie was trying to guard them. Katie was an awesome big sister, and she taught me a lot about life.
Turning three in 2016 didn’t really work out very well. Katie passed away on the morning of my birthday, just ten days shy of her own fourteenth birthday. She would have wanted me to celebrate, but the mood was very different that year.
Madison joined us when I turned four in 2017. My party was the first one she ever attended and she was a little Miss Manners.
2018 was the last party of mine Emma attended which is kind of sad. I turned five and had a super fancy hat. Madison ordered me this giant cake with purple all over it. The three of us had a great time celebrating.
In 2019, I turned six and crazy Olivia was a member of our family. We tried lots of birthday hats on the girl, but she was not at all interested in wearing one. She is a big fan of cake and ice cream, we did find out.
COVID didn’t stop my party in 2020 in the least. We partied on and enjoyed some tasty treats. Olivia was old enough to actually wear a hat too.
Last year in 2021, I turned eight. We ordered some fancy cupcakes from the Three Dog Bakery and had a real nice party together. I’m lucky, actually, as none of my parties have been rained out yet.
This year remains to be seen. MyΒ party hat and the treats are secured, I am ready to be nine, and party until the cat comes home!

My siblings and I are all three years apart in age and there are three of them π
These are wonderful memories. However, some very sad moments due to the loss of Katie on your birthday. What a sad day. Then the loss of sweet Emma. I hope your you have a wonderful Happy Birthday this year! Rain, rain stay away!
It is sad, but we have the good memories. Only my one birthday was very sad, but Katie would not want me to be sad and would hope I would have a great party every year.
We loved hearing all about your previous birthdays, Bailie, and we hope that birthday number 9 is the bestest yet!
Hopefully nine will be a good one!
That was a beautiful trip down memory lane. I got sad when I saw Katie and especially the ever famous Emma. Happy Birthday Eve, Bailie β£ XOXO Sparkle
My birthday will always have a scar from Katie.
9 is a perfect year! And that is a LOT of party hats!!
I am hoping for a great year.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful mom. β₯
We are thankful we found you!
Lovely memories, even if some are sad. Nine is FINE!!! like new wine!!! Party ’til Bro Bert comes home and lock him out so you can keep partying!!! Can’t wait to see the goodies this year. I think you should reuse your fancy purple hat this year. It was super classy!
Bert would be a menace at my party, so he is not invited. It is dogs only!
Memories to treasure for sure and I’m so happy Mom took us back in time. Now I wonder what ‘mischief’ Nelson might get in to at your 9th.
Hugs Cecilia
We are anticipating trouble with him, but sometimes he is very well behaved. Time will tell.
You throw such elegant pawties Bailie! We can’t wait to see what this year holds!
xoxo,
Jakey, Sunny & Rosy
It will probably be chaos between Olivia and Nelson, but tomorrow will tell.
Bitter sweet to look back. I sure Emma and Katie will be thinking f you tomorrow.
I miss them, especially Katie. Katie was always very sweet to me when I was a little pup.
Even with the sads mixed in those are all such wonderful memories. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
There are always sads in life, but the happy times help us deal with them.
It’s going to be awesome!
I am hoping so.
Oh Bailie, you sweet girl! I remember your birthdays. You were born shortly after Ducky’s first birthday. Sad about Katie and Emma, but yes they would want you to enjoy your day every year.
Katie and Emma loved the parties too and would want me to enjoy my day each year.
Woohoo…let’s begin the ‘pawty!’ π 𦴠π 𦴠π π¦΄
That is right! Party until the cat bro Bert comes home and that could be a while!
