The summer solstice was a cooler evening, so Nelson and I decided to put on our wild pants and go crazy. Something tells me there is a reason his name is Ethos Let’s Go Crazy. He is getting bigger and stronger and is much better at keeping up with me. I can’t toss him around like I used to, that is for sure! Just a few weeks ago, he was so much smaller!
As always, the pine trees are the most fun. We all spend time under them playing hide and seek chase. What would we do without them?
Nelson has a lot of his big boy teeth now, but he still enjoys bitey games. Note, I say he enjoys them. The rest of us don’t find the razor sharp puppy teeth in our skin to be all that much fun. Now at least the teeth are not so sharp.
Here is another example of why Nelson’s fancy name fits him. Look at the crazy little man coming after me! Good thing it is all for fun.
All the speed and wrestling get our long ears going. Nelson and I both have the same type of ears and they are long too.
And here comes the little guy again! Watch out, incoming crazed puppy!
Thankfully he does start to tire out a lot faster than I do. I do believe he is calling a time out here. We had some good summer solstice fun but then the heat came back. Oh well, it looks like it will cool down again over the weekend. TGIF everyone!
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
Puppy play! Puffin and I used to play like that all the time when she was Nelson’s age. I did not have much choice! Thankfully now that she is 3 she has turned into a ccx real Mommy’s girl and does not put on her wild pants as much. My 8 year old self is very thankful. Ha e a happy weekend. XOXO Sparkle
I’m the only one that loves to play with Nelson. We all grow out of that phase, but I am still enjoying it.
Put on your crazy pants was hilarious. OH you two need to take that show on the road.
Nelson you are growing like a most handsome crazy flower. You are too handsome to grow like a weed!! Your sis is a fine teacher and friend
Hugs Cecilia
Nelson is a good boy and is getting bigger nicely. We have a lot of fun together.
love our photos!! the mama said the days become shorter now again and she really can see it… she got THE LOOK by her whole furmily (including the dogs) LOL
We look forward to winter as this heat is not our thing but the cool nights once and a while can be perfect for some wild fun.
I love seeing you have fun in the yard. Mom does too and we enjoy all the great shots of you having fun.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
She loves watching us go go go, non-stop. Usually she has to tell us to stop and come in before we kill ourselves.
It’s so much fun watching the two of you play together! I would assume that one day, Nelson will be the largest pup in the pack.
He should be about Olivia’s size but more of a stocky boy build.
YEp! well named! CRAZY looks!!!
He fits his name.
We are glad you got a little break from the heat, and some fun playtime too!!
xoxo,
Sunny, Jakey & Rosy
It was nice and the cool air will return again on Sunday, thankfully.
We LOVE watching wrestling! You guys must have the bestest matches EVER! We can all remember when we loved to do that (actually Kozmo and me, Marv STILL have chase and wrestle matches in the backyard too. But everytime Mom gets her camera out, we turn and walk the other direction! We are impressed that your Peep has you on film. We hope you have a marvelously happy we and thanks for visiting us! Purrs Marv
We have all grown up with the camera. If Mom picks it up off her desk, we all follow her because we know she is going to take photos and we want to be in them. Not for every dog, but we love it.
“Ethos Let’s Go Crazy” – I love it!! Perfect name for a male puppy! I should have named Zen “Tasmanian Devil”, “Whirling Dervish”, or “Wild Child 2” (Ducky was my first wild child). But, once they both mature into adults, hopefully some of that non-stop wildness will be replaced with some calm, peaceful playfulness mixed with some energy-expending zoomies. For now though you girls and your mom can enjoy Nelson’s craziness; and I can enjoy Zen’s wildness. Here’s to our sweet boys!! π₯π₯
The young boys are quite wild. We love getting all crazy around here. Hope Zen finds a friend to play with sometimes.
So glad you get cool nights to break up the hot days. Well crazy Nelson – you have big paws and long ears to grow into!
We only have cool nights now and then but we use them.
I am almost the same age as Nelson and I too am getting my big boy teeth coming through. Gail says I won’t be able to get away with the “he’s just a puppy” excuse for much longer. How is that??
Toodle-oo!
Nobby
Nelson has been really good with puppy teeth for the most part, but it is nice the real ones are coming in.
I think you met your match!
We do have a really good time together.
Crazy pants fur sure but you two were sure enjoying that romping fun!
We do enjoy the wild pants times.
You two are quite a pair!
When we get going, look out!
Am thinking how much fun it must be for you as well ~ out on a lovely summer evening (camera in hand, of course) ~ watching them run and romp and tumble at play together! What a joy!
Mom loves to watch us play and it is fun for her to take photos of us as well.
Puppy play is always so entertaining. Here’s to lots more great times.
Hopefully we will have lots of play years ahead.
Wonderful photos of you sweet doggies playing ~ Xo
