I met my first squawker at our FastCAT trials back in May. We have heard about them, but didn’t know what they do or how they work. For me, it is amazing and I get super crazy. Thankfully, Twin Eyes Photography captured some of my moments in my first run with this furry thing. It also happened to be my FCAT Title run. We purchased the photos for our own use. Hopefully you will enjoy them. This first photo is me leaving the start line. Can you see the crazy amazement in my eyes as I see this animal in front of me?
And, I’m off! The furry guy tied to the lure is looking right at me which makes me even more wild. Sometimes he makes a squawking noise too!
I’m in full and long form as I race down the hundred yard track trying to capture the little varmint!
My ears flop along as I run after the squawker. He better watch out or I will catch him. I catch animals in the yard that run fast all the time.
Humans think it is cute, but for me it is a serious hunting run! Did you know when I run FastCAT I use my GBGV hunting call most of the way down the track? People think it is funny, but it is my instinct coming out.
I’m closing in on the furry critter! We are eye to eye, and I am determined to be the winner of this match.
Ha! Gotcha, you furry little varmint! What a great hunt, and I got to do it again half an hour later. If anyone asks me if I would like a squawker, my answer will be, “YES, please!” These things put a super fun sport right over the top of the fun meter in my hound opinion.
In case you are wondering, the normal lure is also attached to the line which is why you see the white plastic bag in some of the shots. Some dogs prefer to have that instead.
My GBGV Life is happy, so weβre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
OMDs I read fastcat as FATCAT. I need to stop speed reading. What great concentration you had and your eyes were surely focused.
Hugs Cecilia
Mom loves the things her brain sees when she skims things quickly. It makes her laugh, LOL!
Cecilia made me laugh out loud with her comment.
Love the action shots and you got that critter. I can see how much you love the hunt.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
I really do, and as with most of my sports, I take it all very seriously and have a lot of fun too. We like Cecilia’s comment too.
Olivia, you are poetry in motion as you run, and I love your crazy eyes! I’m glad you caught the wild animal. Did you get to keep it? XOXO Sparkle
No, Mom held on to me and the guy raced away! I hope to see a squawker again this year! People often say I have nice form. I only know it works well for me.
How dare that squawker antagonize you, Olivia. Good for you for letting him know who was boss! Great action shots!
I got the prize in the end until Mom stopped the fun with my leash.
Great pictures. The hunt in her eyes
I am a true huntress π
incredible action shots!!! Way to go Olivia!!! you better have won with that speed and stamina!
I put down some pretty good time.
These photos really capture you in action!!!
We love the photos too.
Love the action shots and I can hear the GBGV hunting voice in my mind….I know it well!!!
We love to use it and I do whenever I run FastCAT, but especially if there is a squawker!
How fun is that! Great photos too!
Fun captured on camera!
Boy oh boy! You look totally into the Squawker! Wozzers! If you do get one, would you shake the keck out it? That;s what Cinnie does (and it scares the heck out of me!). Keep on being awesome! Purrs Marv
I got to catch it at the end, but I just jump on it and chew on it.
Oh, that looks like so much fun, i could almost wish to be a dog and enter those races.
Mom calls it the fun and stupid sport because it just uses our instincts, no need for training and we love it.
WeeeOooo, look at you go, dang, I wonder how fast you go?!?! Someone needs to bring a radar gun and check your speed!
It is all based on speed. I run about 22 mph give or take a little bit. Bailie runs around 17 mph and Madison around 15.
wow that are powerful photos… we love your eyes!! and your ears!! wow!
I love that chase!
What a fun incentive! Love those action shots of you. Well done.
We love them too!
