Today I hit the first big milestone in my furry life since the day I was born. Yes, I am officially six months old! Sure turning nine weeks old meant I could leave my birth mom, and then the day my new family snatched me was big, but this is one we have all been waiting for. Why you ask? It means I can start competing in some sports and I can’t wait. Finally I get to do what I’ve been stuck in the car waiting for my sisters to do the past couple of months!
As our family does with every puppy I am told, I had a photo shoot yesterday. Mom says she likes to make sure she has some good monthly photos to see how her pups change in a month’s time. We went to the Heritage Village to do photos this time. Remember at five months we did a photo shoot with big machinery. The weather was so hot and humid, we were super quick and my tongue was hanging out almost the entire time.
This place has lots of old stuff Mom says is fun for photos. She hasn’t been to the place in a few years and says it is starting to fall apart. The wagon I’m standing on is really in rough shape, but since I’m not more than thirty five pounds, it didn’t break. I’m learning the stand command because I am going to be a show and sports dog. Photos are a good way for me to practice.
We have a close up of my adorable mug for everyone. So far everything my furry self is doing to grow is right on track with the breed standard. Since I am going to be a show dog, it is important.
Mom also managed to capture me with my mouth closed for a second! I think I look good both ways.
This first big milestone may mean some traveling in my future. If I decide to ride the rails to events, this is what I would look like on the back end of the caboose. In less than two weeks my sports career will begin. Mom has me set to compete three times before the end of August and we can’t wait!
