Happy National Dog Photography Day! We recently heard about this day and thought it would be fun to take some photos and post them to celebrate. Did you know that the USA has the highest pet dog population among all the countries, with approximately 75.8 million pet dogs. This holiday is to celebrate dogs and post all the photos you want guilt free. It may not surprise you that we enjoy taking dog photos at our house! Sun bathing and napping Nelson is starting off with his cute self.
Mom didn’t set up any specific shots, she just spent a day snapping pics of us here and there, doing what we normally do on a summer day. Bailie has a bed head most of the time. A photo of her head furs standing on end is a must! Her expressive eye are also a must.
A penny for your thoughts, is what Mom said to me, Madison. I enjoy sitting on the lawn just looking and thinking. Most of the time I choose a shady spot, but sometimes the sun feels good.
Olivia has had a new hairdo since she was at the spa last month. Her eyebrows are flipping down over her eyes and her head furs look like they have been curled with a curling iron…but she isn’t allowed to use such an appliance. It is kind of cute actually. What do you think?
The naughty side of puppy Nelson insists on chewing on sticks. This is strictly forbidden at out house but he continues to break the rule. Mom snapped this shot and then took his stick away.
It’s been about a month since we were all at the spa and our furs are starting to show it. Mom does her best to strip our furs but she just isn’t a professional. My furs are starting to get curly most days.
Mom takes a lot of us in action, and for this National Dog Photography Day, she specifically did not take action shots. This photo of Bailie is almost action, but not quite. She is definitely ready to play.
Let’s end this session with Olivia and her Furballz. For some reason, she is being a sourpuss, but she is still pretty cute. Are you taking extra pup photos to celebrate today?

Your mom is great with the camera too. Every day is photography day. Mom went nuts when she was in the hospital last year and she couldn’t take photos of us since we were not with her.
