Evening seems to bring out the craziness at out house, especially with me and Nelson. Before bed, we get all worked up and then can’t settle back down, but boy do we have fun!
Madison puts up with Nelson, but the two of them don’t really play. They walk on leash with Mom, and they walk together in the yard off leash. Nelson knows Madison can be cranky and he shouldn’t bug her too much.
Bailie is mellow in the evening. She is happy to go off on her own and just enjoy the fresh air. Sometimes she likes to munch on long pieces of grass she finds along the fence.
Even cat bro Bert loves the evening air. He hangs out on the deck. Some nights he suddenly disappears and then spends the night outside.
Before we bring out the craziness, we do have a few tender moments where we plan how we are going to get wild.
And just like that we go from being kind to me ending up in a little brother choke hold…help! This guy is getting big and strong way too fast!
We have new neighbors behind us. They have mini humans and a doodle dog of some kind. Since we are suspicious of them all, we just watch from afar for now.
Enough of that spying stuff. Back to rough housing. Hey, look! You can see our shiny, lower front chompers in this pose.
No games in the yard would be complete without some games of bitey face. I think I can win this round!
All the games we play outside really bring out the wild pants but after a bit, we need to relax. Watching the new neighbors from a distance is kind of like live TV, and we enjoy it.
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
We love the evening air too!!! And my baby brother can get me going – even at my old age!! We are so excited that you have a doodle neighbor!!!!! I am blonde color and my baby brother is black and my big brother Dash was red. what color is your doodle neighbor? Happy Friday!!!! your friends Chester and Lilly
The new one behind us is blonde. Her name is Winnie π Have a fun weekend!
We like the evenings in summer also. You two seem to be well matched for your crazies.
We are. Mom said I needed someone to play with and she was right.
Oh yes, dusk and dawn are the busybusy times for the pets, whether meowers or barkers! We’ve recently watched two series on Netflix, both quite wonderful, “DOGS” and “Inside The Mind of Cats”, and both have been informative (for us) about all these behaviors …
Those are our most active times. Today we also went wild around lunchtime.
Wow! Nelson is growing in leaps and bounds! So fun to watch them play!
He is a big guy!
What fun! Puffin and I are busybodies too but mostly from the front living room window. I love to freely use my voice. Mommy just called us and left s message on the answering machine. She says she is coming home tomorrowβ£β£β£ Puffin and I are so happy! XOXO Sparkle
So happy you guys will all be together again. It is hard when moms are gone.
you sure have a lot of fun there! I bet you will be meeting the doodle and the mini humans soon!!
We met them at the park down the road a couple weeks ago.
Does the doodle come over to play?
Nope. Not sure if she would like to or not.
This is a great craziness. You made me smile.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. β₯
Mom likes our craziness too.
I can’t wait until Sunny is well enough to do zoomies with again..Hopefully by then our evenings will be cooler!
xoxo,
Rosy
We hope she will be able to zoom zoom again real soon. It’s such a bummer to be so young and have to be mellow.
OM word what a fun series of photos of a family gone wild or just enjoying the great out of doors.
Hus Cecilia
The younger crazy ones go wild and the older ones just hang out.
I, Nobby, enjoy a good bout of evening craziness and just wish I had another pup to be crazy with. You guys are so lucky!
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
It is definitely more fun with a friend/sibling.
That looks like some fun evening activities gang and watching the new neighbors sounds interesting!
We are very curious about them. Lots more action in their yard than with the previous neighbors.
What fun! Maybe the new neighbors will introduce themselves or your mom will go meet them, and all of you can be on friendly, speaking terms.
Mom, Madison, and Nelson met them at the park down the road two weeks ago. They are nice and friendly. We just have to realize they won’t try to invade our space. It takes a while to adjust to a new dog so close by.
