Sunflowers are a lot of fun for many reasons. For one thing, they are so big and tall, the props this farm has out for people to take photos with are hard to find! This photo is from the entrance. We didn’t see any cows or sheep in the fields at all. In case you didn’t see our Monday post, make sure and have a look as there are photos and more information on these beautiful flowers.
Here we are on sunflower road. There is nothing to see but more and more flowers. At first, Mom didn’t understand the concept of the circle with paths running through it, but it became clear after a while. None of us wanted to get lost, and you really can’t get lost because it is a simple concept.
We found more bicycles. They are such pretty bright colors with the bright yellow flowers.
Can you believe this piano actually works? As we were coming down the path, a guy was sitting on the bench playing music. It sure is pretty the way it is painted.
If you follow us on Facebook, you may have seen this fire engine posted on Sunday. See the sunflowers behind it? I don’t think anyone really noticed when they looked at the photo.
Nelson and I are way too short to see over the flowers, but if we are on this flatbed of the old truck we can get a much better view. They even have a stairs built to help people and pups get up on the truck.
Here we are at the front of the truck. It is really old and in poor shape, but it makes a fun photo stop with the sunflowers in the background.
Finally, we found lots of old tractors hiding in the tall flowers. I like this one and decided to have Mom help me get up on the seat to take a photo. What a beautiful morning to see all these amazing sunflowers! We bought a nice bouquet of them and dropped them off for Gramma on our way home. Maybe one day we can visit another place like this one!
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
You look beautiful among the cheerful sunflowers and we love all of the sunflower props! Happy Friday!
We were only expecting sunflowers, so when we saw all the props we were super excited. There were many more, but we chose our favorites to take photos of.
What a fun place!
Mom has wanted to find some sunflower fields for years but they are all far away so she gave up. This one just was there on our way to Bailie’s trial and it was such a wonderful place!
We just love these sunflowers! Thank you for sharing these pictures. They are wonderful. We love the piano!!! what a funny thing to have in the middle of the field!!! have a great Friday. your friends Chester and Lilly
Thank you. Mom is so happy about finding this place by accident. When we first found the piano, someone was actually playing it. The music with all the pretty flowers was just magical. It was one of our best outings in a long time.
Great photo ops! I see you and Nelson are tolerating each other better. I’m glad you didn’t run into any live sheep or cows on the paths. Your mom sure is good at finding fun places to explore.
I just deal with the little guy. He knows I’m not going to play with him, so he just leaves me alone and I leave him alone. Maybe when he is older we will have more in common.
Wow, that is some large sunflower field, I love all of the props along the way.
It is super amazing and smart the way they divided it into five sections so it would be in bloom for about five weeks. They move the props to the new section each week. Love this place!
Oh how fun. Wish I had been with you. I love sunflowers and I would have loved to enjoy this beauty.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
Mom can’t stop talking about how fun it was and such a great accidental find. Going early made it even better as there weren’t too many other people there yet.
OMD how lovely! I like the props they have just sitting in the sunflower fields forever. You were so sweet to take some flowers to Gramma. Finly, Happy National Dog Day to Bailie, Madison, Olivia, and Nelson! I have not forgotten Emma and Katie. β£οΈβ€XOXO Sparkle
Hope you and Puffin had a nice National Dog Day! The sunflower fields were truly a wonderful find. Gramma just loved her sunflowers and it makes us happy to make her happy.
OH MY DOGs…wow what a beautiful happy glorious post. And your smiling faces show that you enjoyed it too.
Hugs Cecilia
We enjoyed all the smells more than anything, but it was a fun outing for all of us.
What an interesting walk through the sunflowers.
Of course, Gail loved the bicycles. Me not so much.
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
They are kind of silly, popping out of the flowers, but Mom loves the bright colors and goofiness of it all!
Those are such amazing photos and such fun things for props. I like that purple bike!
We just expected to see flowers, everything else was a complete surprise!
That looked like fun!
Mom says it is one of her favorite finds ever, and we only went because we saw it as we drove by the day before.
What an excellent place to explore…we love all the different photo ops!!!
xoxo,
Rosy
It was so fun and interesting for the three of us. Mom says no other fields will match this one if she ever goes to another place.
Those are really awesome pictures. It looks like it was really hot out there.
It wasn’t that hot yet, but it was sunny and we were busy walking and posing. A nice bowl of water back at the car tasted really good.
We’ve done the corn maze, but bever the sunflowers. It looks like loads of fun!
It was awesome! They made it all very simple so no one would get lost and people would get to see everything.
Those sunflowers are just glorious! Such lovely pics of you and all of them.
Thank you. We really loved the piano, and when we first saw it, someone was playing it which just added to the whole atmosphere.
this was such a cheerful and fun post! It’s hard to believe the piano would work being out in the elements like that. I would think that rain would destroy it, maybe they bring it in on rainy/inclement days?
We don’t know, but it worked fine the day we were there. Such a fun place to visit and so much more than we every expected!
