Meet Salem Sue, the world’s largest Holstein cow, right off the highway in North Dakota. We have heard about her, but now we can say we have met her.
We drove up the hill to the parking spot, and then we had to walk up the rest of the way to meet Sue. Mom wanted a photo of all three of us sitting next to her. He works hard to get us all in the right positions and looking the right way.
And just like that we took a pretty good photo. Nelson does really well most of the time for being a young pup.
To get a feel for how big Salem Sue is, we took a photo of the plaque with all the information on it.
Since we have our navigator traveling with us, we also got a rare shot of Mom with the three of us and this magnificent cow. It looks like Nelson poses better than me or Olivia! Mr. Brown Noser, although his nose is jet black, LOL!
After a short visit and the photos, we drove back down the hill and hit the road to our hotel. If you are in the area, she is worth a stop!
My GBGV Life is happy, so we’re joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
Wow – that is one big cow! Great posing job, guys!
Holy cow is what we all said!
That is a big cow!!!! And the pictures are great. So great to see your mom!! We hope you enjoyed your day off yesterday. That’s the first day off we remember this whole time following the blog!!! Have a good day. your friends Chester and Lilly
Once in a great while we take a day off but we had an 18 hour drive home so we decided to take the day off.
we love the photos… you all look fantabulous and salem sue is really super big… wow!
Holy cow, she is udderly huge!
Wow, what a big cow!
When we saw it, Mom said Holy Cow!
Salem Sue is really massive. So much to see, but you must keep moooving on down the road! XOXO, Sparkle ✨️
You are udderly correct about that 😉
Salem Sue is a big girl. I loved you 3 pictured with your Mom. I didn’t realize New Salem in N. Dakota was such a big dairy producer
Hugs cecilia
Up here in the Midwest, dairy is all over. We don’t know who the biggest producer is, but dairy cows are everywhere.
Fun pictures! Looks like you’re all having a good time. Theo and I visited last summer on our road trip out west. Sue is definitely quite large! We also visited other big, by the road, North Dakota sculptures like a sand hill crane, Jamestown buffalo, and flying geese on the Enchanted Highway.
There are a lot of things to see out there in the middle of nothing. We saw signs for the Jamestown buffalo, but we didn’t stop for that one.
How in the WORLD did you ever get that photo of ME??????????? BWWWWAAAH!! xoxo
What??? Be nice to yourself, but Sue is a good looking cow we think.
That’s one huge cow. You make that cow look even better.
Did you know that I was raised on a dairy farm. I milked a lot of cows.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. ♥
We didn’t know that. Mom’s dad and his brother owned a dairy farm for a time when Mom was in her early teens. She had her own cow who had a calf and she got to bottle feed it. Mom has always loved cows.
We are very impressed with your posing skills! It’as funny, Sunny is also our best poser…and is the youngest! We will put this on our “must see” list for sure!
She is worth a look as she is so big but very friendly and polite. Nelson is either a perfect poser or impossible. There is no in between, LOL!
mooove over Paul Bunyon!!! If all of you are posing in the photo, does that make you posies???
That could be. We would love to see Mr Bunyan next to Sue!
That really is a big cow and WOW, y’all look really nice there!
Thank you. She is fun to see, especially up close.
Love the photo of the four of you!
Thank you. We got a couple of those on this trip.
That’s a great cow! hehehe
I had no idea that North Dakota was a dairy state! Of course, Vermont says it is, too. 😉
But the best part was seeing all the beauties sitting in front of the cow!
Awww, thank you. Most of the Midwest has a lot of dairy, so it is pretty normal, but such a big cow is not, LOL!
Hi from Roma. You guys would love it here. Lots of cute puppies
Puppies are always cute but right now Mom has her puppy fix with Nelson. Enjoy 🙂
Whoa…that’s some kind of an impressive roadside attraction! 🐄
Holy cow, it is udderly huge and we are happy it isn’t moooving around!
She’s certainly big, if i ever get over there, i’ll be sure to stop.
The biggest Holstein in the world. Another fun road trip find.
