We added new states on our Labor Day weekend road trip to the wild west. Olivia, Nelson, and I all hit the road for a two day trip to Bozeman, Montana for two days of nose work trials. Madison stayed home this time because she wasn’t in the trials and Nelson really wanted to go along. Our last big road trip was to Wyoming back in April, and before that we mainly went south and east.
Mom thought going the northern route to Bozeman and the southern one back would get each of us states we have not yet visited. North Dakota is the first state we hit outside of Minnesota. Olivia has been there before, but for me and Nelson, it is a new state.
All three of us took the opportunity to pose by the Fargo mural on our way out of town. Mom likes to find these “postcard” murals from @greetingstour The only problem is they tend to be in a bad part of town, or there isn’t much space to take photos. This is why the corners are cut off.
Next up, we made it to Montana. It is a first time to this state for all three of us. Mom was in the state several times back when she was a flight attendant. The welcome center doesn’t have a sign, so we used the highway pull off to take a sign photo. Mom is afraid with being next to the highway, so she posed with us to hang onto our leashes. Safety is always the top priority. We never risk anything for a photo.
On the way home from Bozeman, we drove south through Wyoming. Olivia already has been to this state, but for me and Nelson it is all new. Since we are in the wild west, we donned our cowboy hats and bandanas for our photo.
Finally, we passed through South Dakota. Both Olivia and I have been there a few times. Since it is a new state for Nelson, he is the only one posing at the sign. Nelson doubled his number of states visited on this road trip!
What is the current tally of states we have all visited?
- Emma – 18 states, and 5 countries
- Bailie – 24 states
- Madison – 22 states
- Olivia – 23 states
- Nelson – 8 states
Visiting new states is a lot of fun. We look forward to traveling to more states we haven’t been to in the future! Mom says traveling with dogs is a great thing to do, and she loves to travel with us! We are thankful for all the opportunities we have.
My GBGV Life is joining Brian’s Home Blog in the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
You guys are the most well-traveled pups we know and very lucky too!
We are lucky to get to see so many new places and smell so many new smells. Road trips rock!
Your team gets to travel and find adventures wherever you travel. Plus your bags are packed with the best outfits for your destinations. I am definitely jealous! I have onlyv3vstates on my ticket, and my baby Boston sister has never left Florida. I am feeling deprived. XOXO Sparkle ✨️
We love to travel. Bailie won’t be traveling anymore because she really hates the car. Mom wanted to try it one more time, but it was not fun for her in the car, but the rest of us will go, go, go.
Y’all really are quite the traveling pups and it must be fun to see so many new places! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We always wonder where we are going, what we will smell, and what Mom has planned for us to do.
Your mom rocks. It’s good that she lets you travel with her. So wonderful.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. ♥
She loves driving all over the place with us. She traveled the world on planes and ships but now she is sick of that and the car is where it is at, with us, of course.
Nelson you have already been to 8 states and you aren’t even 1 yet!!…OMDs you are gaining on your sisters.
What beautiful photos at the ‘state’ signs.
Hugs cecilia
Thank you. Nelson will catch up one of these days as we continue to travel all over the place.
What fun traveling to see new and different places.
Mom loves to show us as much of the world as she can and we love our road trips.
I think Nelson has been to more states than I have. 🙂
LOL! The little fellow is just getting started but he will see a lot of the country just like us girls have.
What fun photos and routes! Your mom is very good wise about safety. She loves you all so much. Love the cowboy hats and bandanas – you look like a couple of rustlers to me…
Safety is always top, followed by fun.
that’s pawtastic! You have been to more states than I have been!
We get around. Hopefully we can do more on the eastern part of the US, and the southwest too.
Traveling is the best! At this rate, you all will see all the states!
xoxo,
Rosy
Mom says at best we could see 48, but Alaska is too far to drive and Hawaii would be an underwater drive so we won’t make it there either.
It’s always fun to read about your adventures!
We love our road trips and finding fun things.
