We’ve got that fall feeling in the furs around here. You’ve seen Olivia and Bailie playing with Nelson, today I hung out with him for a bit in the yard. We enjoyed a bit of sniffing together. The temps are in the 50’s and it feels so good to us!
Nelson is always up for some rough housing but I don’t care to participate. My sisters love to wrestle and chase, but I am not interested. Nelson gave it his best, but I didn’t come around.
It’s Nelson’s first fall which means first leaves on the ground too. Yesterday he tried rolling on the ground in a few leaves to see if it really feels good like I always say.
I think he likes it, don’t you? Wait until Mom rakes up a pile of leaves for us to play in. That is going to be fun!
It seems to me that he is a bit disoriented after all that rolling around, but he sure does look happy!
You know me, I love to roll around in the grass any time of the year. It is nature’s back scratcher.
Oh boy, it feels sooo good! I think I need more leaves but they will come soon enough.
Ahhh, I feel so much better now after getting a good back scratching. Mom doesn’t scratch my back enough I guess.
Now it is time to hop off and show you all some colored trees Nelson and I saw on one of our recent walks.
This tree is fun because it is multi-colored. I think it will eventually be all red.
Mom likes this orange tree, but she loves the sky background with it the most.
Finally we have our favorite, a nice red tree. The colored trees really bring out that fall feeling! We hope you enjoyed a bit of fall with us! Have a fun weekend!
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
It feels so good to roll outside -leaves or just plain old grass! Love your beautiful autumn colors!
Things are starting to turn fast and it is really pretty out in some places right now.
Grass is the best thing for a good back scratch! Your autumn leaves π are gorgeous. We don’t have that so much but our nights have been in the 60’s. Wonder what you are up to this weekend? XOXO Sparkle
This is our off weekend. I’m doing a practice trial search tomorrow but otherwise Mom said we are relaxing, doing yard work and catching up on things because we have six weekends of sports starting next Saturday. It is cold but it should be dry so good to be outside. What are you guys up to?
Fall is certainly in the air!
It sure is and it feels great!
What fabulous, healthy trees in your neighborhood. Brilliant color. And I could feel the warmth of the sun as you lay in the leaves between your rollings! Those were the shots I loved best.
The sun feels so good as it is warm but not so hot like in the summer.
Oh those gorgeous trees. Ours are just beginning to show color.
I took an early morning walk in my ‘hood today. It was a glorious 55 degrees. Nelson enjoy your first fall and OMDs have your sisters told you about all the snow fun?
Hugs Cecilia
We all have our paws crossed for a long, cold, and snowy winter ahead. I guess time will tell. For now Nelson is enjoying all the fall smells.
Awww, you’re all so adorable.
I love your autumn colors. So beautiful.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
They are really starting to pop fast but because of the drought, they say they will come and go fast.
your trees are changing MUCH earlier than ours are!
They say it is from the drought we are having. Another two weeks and the leaves will all be on the ground.
The best is yet to come, soon the grass wil be covered with leaves to frolic among!
Exactly. Mom rakes up some nice piles for us to play in just like kids do.
Oh your trees are just stunning. It’s my first autumn and I’m loving it so far!
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
Nelson is liking it too. The cool air is the best!
beautiful trees, and fun Fall shots of you and Nelson, Madison. See, Nelson’s not so bad for a yard buddy, you may actually decide he has merits. Little brothers can be like that.
I don’t play with him, but we hang out together.
Wow!!! Such beautiful colors! You and Nelson look like you really enjoyed your back scratching!
xoxo,
Rosy
It feels so good and the cool air does too.
You get very pretty fall colors. We don’t get many trees that turn colors other than brown. We don’t have any grass to roll on in our yard so we have to go to the park to roll on something green.
Grass is good when it has some crunch in it. Otherwise it is just nice and soft under the paws.
Now my back is itchy! But i have to go get my back scratcher, i’m too old to roll in the grass, sad to say.
It might look silly to see a human rolling around in the yard, LOL!
Hey Nelson, nice to meet you! Our Mom says she sure wouldn’t want all the grooming needed with you pups, LOL! But we sure would like to roll around in your nice yard with you. XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia
Our mom doesn’t like grooming either, but we just get our furs stripped and stuff every week and every three months our spa lady does a big stripping.
That looks like such a wonderful romp n’ roll session, hooray for Fall, it sure feels much better!
Nothing is better than saying good bye to summer. It is always our least favorite month.
Wow, what beautifully colored leaves! Looks like fall is definitely falling in your ‘Hood.
It is very fall these days and we are all loving it.
Wow! You guys look terrific rolling around! What a great romp. Us cats don’t do much of that, but Cinnamon does!
Sometimes our cat doesn’t have a choice when we decide to wrestle with him a bit.
