Today we are remembering Debucher Baguette, Emma, who passed away unexpectedly on this day, October 30th, 2018. Mom still misses her a lot. Bailie and I spent several years with Emma, but Olivia and Nelson never met her. Oddly, Mom, Olivia, and Nelson have a trial today which is being held right next to the Emergency Clinic where Emma passed away.
Emma was born in England on September 11th, 2006, making her just twelve years old when she passed. She packed so much into her short life and really paved the way for all of us to have an even better life than she had. Emma traveled a lot, loved nose work, enjoyed modeling, and the blog is something she is really famous for.
At ten months old Emma moved to the USA where she became an avid Vikings fan. She was always rooting for her team, no matter how bad of a season they were having.
Being from England, Emma loved hats. She had quite a collection of them too! Some of the hats we wear now, but some are special and we can’t bear to wear them. Shortly before her passing she bought this fancy new hat for Halloween. Thankfully Mom took her photo wearing it as she didn’t make Halloween in 2018. No one has worn this hat since.
Emma enjoyed nose work so much. Traveling for trials with Mom was a favorite thing for her to do. She did pretty well considering Mom was new to dog sports and was trying to figure it all out herself. This is her at the start line at her last trial about six weeks before her passing. She did earn her Level 2 Interior Title that day, which is such a nice memory for Mom. Emma’s color was red, thus the red accessories and Mom’s red shirt. She hasn’t worn the red shirts since that trial.
Our late sister left so many paw prints for us to try to fill and follow. She will never be forgotten. We could go on for pages and pages talking about her as she did so much in her life. You can read more about Emma on her Page, or under the The Staff page of our blog.
We have heard about you so much through the years and we wish we would have gotten to know you, Emma. You were such a beauty and so loved. We send your mom lots of hugsโฅ
Mom always tells us about her, so even Olivia and Nelson know a lot about her. Mom still has a hard time believing she is gone.
I never met Emma until now. She is and was a beauty and from this post I can tell she was a treasure. They never leave our hearts
She was a very special lady hound.
We all miss Emma. She was a very special girl.
Mom says she was one of a kind and will always be missed.
They take a bit of our hearts; yet remain part of our soul. Sending you Hugs.
She took a big chunk out of Mom’s heart but we are still happy some of us got to know her and she shaped a lot of our lives.
Sweet Emma. She is why we started following the blog and learning about GBGVs. She was very special. We remember that Dash died right before Emmaโ also suddenly. That was a sad time. Hope all goes well today. Give mom some extra huggles and licks today. Your friends Chester and Lilly.
We remember Dash passing away suddenly and feeling so sad and then tragedy struck our house too. Live every day to the fullest because you just never know what the future holds.
Dear, sweet Emma! You were a natural in the kitchen being Julia Child, and I adored your baking blogs. We all miss you, but not as much as your mommy does! ๐ Love โค๏ธ your memoriesโฃ๏ธโค๏ธ๐ฅฐ๐ XOXO Sparkle โจ๏ธ
She shaped all of our lives and we are grateful for that, but we are not happy she just left and broke Mom’s heart. Now we live life to the fullest because there are no guarantees for the future.

What a nice tribute to a wonderful friend !
Thank you.
Thank you for sharing Emma’s story. Lots of gentle hugs to your mom and scritches to all Emma’s four-legged family.
Thank you. Mom misses her every day.
Such a sad day for you all, especially your Mom. Emma was loved the world over and she made such a big impact in the blogging world. She would be very proud of all of you. Hugs.
She would be happy with all of us, but Mom still misses her a lot.
Sending gentle thoughts of comfort as you remember your sweet Emma.
Thank you. She is always with us.
I miss that girl and cannot believe it has been four years already. It seems as if it was just yesterday. She was a little bit younger than Dakota was when he passed. Dakota was 13 and around 4 months old. Both way too young. (((hugs))))
Way too young and very sudden. She is missed all the time and sometimes we get tired of hearing all about her from Mom, but we know we need to hear about her.
