Last Friday, I went to the University of St. Thomas for my Elite Trial. Mom graduated from this school a long, long time ago, back when it had just transitioned from a boys college to coed, and was a college, not a university. She could not wait to trial with her best nose work dog where she had studied.
The place had changed a lot since she was there for college. As a matter of fact, she could barely find the part of campus she went to. They are busy expanding and it is so much bigger now. We got to search in the science and technology campus. There were four searches: a greenhouse, a large hallway, the auditorium, and two adjoining physics classrooms.
For some reason, in the two morning searches, Mom and I were not in sync as we usually are and I missed one hide in each of the two searches. Still we had a good time. I started the afternoon rocking the auditorium search, and I also did a great job in the physics rooms. All our hard work paid off with four pretty ribbons, three of which surprised us a bit.
The weekend before I placed first in the trial with a score of 100%. At our University of St. Thomas Trial, Mom didn’t expect any placements except perhaps for my speed in the auditorium. We were totally shocked when we found out we placed third in both afternoon searches, got pronounced (it is given for exceptional teamwork) in both afternoon searches and second place overall in the trial out of the thirty teams! I also earned my Elite3 Title which we were expecting.
Since Mom went to the University of St. Thomas and I got so many nice ribbons there, we had to have a photo of the two of us together. Team Orange is on a roll. We wonder what is up next for us!
My GBGV Life is happy, so weβre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
Congratulations to both of you.
Thank you.
What great accomplishments for you, 2 wkends in a row! Congratulations! Go Team Orange π
I’m kind of on a roll. We hope it keeps on rolling for a while.
Going sniffing where your mom went to school must have been a very different experience than other places you have been! Congrats on your new title!
It’s not much different than any other school, but it was a special place for Mom to be able to take me to.
oooh congrats!!! what a super place.. could you sniff out some old adventures of your mama?
I wish, but it was a very, very long time ago.
You are soon going to need your very own house for all of your beautiful ribbons, Olivia. Congratulations to you and your mom!
They are stacking up on my parts of the wall! We love lots of pretty ribbons, so it is not a problem.
Oh my dog! Just another fantastic weekend for Team Orange π Olivia, you are a super sniffer. XOXO Sparkle
Mom still finds it all hard to believe, but she knows I am good and it is a lot of fun for both of us.
Another fun weekend full of accomplishments. Mom got to visit her alma mater too. A wonderful weekend.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

It was a fun day and special for Mom to search at her old school and that we did pretty well.
Well done you and mom both have degrees of excellence from U of St. Thomas

LOL! You are right. We both graduated from something at that place.
Go team orange!
We are having a real good time and seem to be finding our success.
Those are some wonderful wins and you should be really proud, that smile tells me you are!
Mom and I are quite happy with Team Orange lately.
What a great weekend, congrats to Team Orange!

Sunny
Friday was a pretty good day, even though we didn’t think it was until the end.
Indeed! You are on oa role! All that roughhousing with your little brother must have shaken loose any nasal obsructions you may have had!!!
LOL, never thought about that!
It’s all about having fun and coming in first is afterwards! Cheers! Love your photo with your Mom!
Yes, we love to sniff together and at different places. Getting awards is the cherry on top of it all when it happens.
She’s making new, happy memories at her school, this is fabulous. Congratulations!
It is a trial she really wanted to go to and then to do well besides is just great! Not many humans get to take their dogs to their college and actually work with them.
Well done both of you! And what a great place to do it at.
Exactly. Mom was hoping for a good trial at her college.
