November started off with sunshine and leaves and we had a great time out in the yard playing. It was warm, but not too warm, actually just right for us to have loads of fun. I always enjoy rolling in the leaves. It is so fun and it feels so good.
Rolling around on all the crunch is a great, natural back scratcher. It makes me smile because it feels so good.
I kind of stretch myself out long too while I’m rolling around on the bed of leaves.
When I have had enough rolling around scratching, I like to lie on my belly and stretch, and stretch, and stretch. When I go back in the house, Mom has to “de-leaf” me.
Mom raked up a pile of leaves for us to play in. Nelson should really enjoy jumping around in a leaf pile as we all have as puppies. Bailie is the leaf pile supervisor.
Nelson came over and sniffed around in the pile. He didn’t seem to have any interest in jumping around in it or playing with the pile. Next, the unthinkable for us girls happened! Our brother peed all over the leaf pile. Is this a boy thing? We don’t know but it was not a nice thing to do.
Mom decided to take a photo and forget the leaf pile at this point. It was not the best idea as Bailie was good but Nelson couldn’t stop laughing and Olivia said she was going to puke because of the peed on leaf pile. Olivia can be dramatic sometimes.
Patience is a good thing. Mom wanted a nice photo of the three in the sunshine and leaves and she finally got one. I was too busy rolling around to be in any photos.
The young crazies took off running once Mom let them go. They race so much every day when it is nice out, and then they crash hard early at night. We’re all thankful we have a nice yard and siblings to have fun with almost any time we want.
And I have one more chase and wrestle photo of Olivia and Nelson for you. Everyone had some fun in the yard, and we all got plenty of fresh air too. Happy Friday! Have a funtastic weekend!
We are joining our friends at Living Laughing and Barking in Our Backyard is for their Nature Friday blog hop.
Nelson – you ruined the fun pile of leaves and now your mom will need to rake a new pile so you can keep having tons of fun!
She gave up after that. I am not very interested in the leaves like my sisters have been. We had some deep areas from the wind so we just raced through those instead.
The classic postcard line reads: wish you were here. All I can say is: WISH I WAS THERE!!!
LOL! It was interesting and Mom was a bit shocked.
Well, you really got into nature. I’m sorry Nelson ruined the leaf pile. My little sister, Puffin, peed in my mom’s 4 day old car! She got excited. I can’t say much because I barfed in the car once. XOXO Sparkle
Oh my, none of us have ever peed in the car or thrown up. That would not be a good thing. Peeing on leaves isn’t that horrible, but it did ruin our fun.
Those pictures make me wanna roll in the lease with you but not weβre Nelson peed
No, we all sniffed that area and left. I find a nice clean spot to roll around.
that was such fun!! I felt like I was right there with you rolling. I love watching falling leaves as the dance and prance to the ground
Hugs Cecilia
It is like a snow storm when it is windy out and they all come down!
Wonderful and fun photos of doggie in the leaves ~ and of course other doggies are so adorable as well ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days ~

We enjoy all the crunch and smells in the leaves in the fall.
we love the leaves decoration that looks so like nature and fall and all the good things we dogs love….
They are still super pretty on the ground, but soon they will all turn brown and we will need snow for some beauty.
Great photos and story!!!! My brother always pees on the piles of leaves that have been piled along the street for the street sweeper as we walk by!!!! Me? I loooove to sniff the piles as we walk along. I am making mom crazy with how I will slow down, sniff, sniff, sniff and then walk a little and then sniff, sniff. She lets me do it though. She says I am old and if this gives me joy then my brother and she can find patience. Leaves!!!! What great autumn fun. Have a great weekend, your friends Lilly and Chester
Our mom likes us to keep moving along. She says we can sniff in our own yard, but we do get to sniff real quick along the way.
Yes, leaf peeing is a guy thing! I admit it. What great fun though, for racing around and through. I love your pictures.

Thankfully we had other leaves we could still play in.
Those photos of you guys rolling in the fallen leaves are simply adorable – pee or no pee! (But then I am a boy dog…)
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
Nelson only peed on the big pile, so the rest of the yard was pretty safe.
TeeHeeHee…Oh Nelson!!!
It looks like you have tons of fun running around in the leaves tho!
xoxo,
Rosy
I like to run through them but the big pile was not my thing.
yup, peeing on leaf piles, and anything else that looks interesting is a boy dog thing.
Mom is pretty strict on where I can pee, but she didn’t expect the leaf pile would be a target.
Playing in the leaves are almost as fun as playing in the snow. l Cute.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
Just another bonus of the four seasons we have. Hopefully soon there will be loads of snow to play in.
What a romp and rollin’ good time you were having out there, fun, fun, fun!
Fun is what we love around here.
Watching you guys chase around is always so much fun! And Nelson peed on the leaves!?!? Gross. We are glad that you have nice weather. We had 2 terrific days Tuesday and Wednesday and then yesterday a cold wind started to blow and you know what? We woke up to 6 inches of snow!!!! This is awful early for us, we hope it not a sign of a really cold and snowy winter! Keep on being awesome guys! Purrs Marv
We would love snow now, but usually ours doesn’t stick around until later in November. Nelson is a boy and Mom is working hard not letting him pee on everything when we walk so he learns that is not the thing to do. Whether or not it works long term we will have to wait and see.
glad to see that I’m not the only one with a dog that leaves attach to like velcro! BOL!! Was walking through leaves with Levi yesterday and spent 15 minutes just getting them all off of him! BOL!
Mom says that some days we have more leaves in the house than outside in our yard because we drag them in with our furs.
“A bit late to the party” but here I am…love all the pix of you furry kids having fun in the leaves. At least until Nelson spoiled the fun. Oh well, boys will be boys! But in our yard, sometimes the girls had no choice but to pee on the leaves too. (That’s why Ducky ended up having to get vulvaplasty surgery back in ’17.) The leaves around here don’t usually stop falling until at least early-to-mid January. There were still leaves falling on the ground when we had our big snowstorm in January, the night after Bogie’s accident.
Our leaves are all down now and we are waiting for the snow.
