Who is a very naughty puppy? Why it is me, sweet little Nelson. Sunday morning was rather rough at our house. Actually, only about fifteen minutes were rough according to mom who was not very happy with me.
Mom hears all the time about puppies being so naughty, and boys getting into trouble, but not at our house. Well that all changed Sunday morning between 7:45 and 8 am. Mom was cleaning up in the kitchen because we were getting ready to go to barn hunt. I was bored, so I found some fun things to do.
It started when Madison and I went outside and I peed all over her tail. Mom saw this from the kitchen window. Back in the house we went and Madison got a tail washing. Next, I found all the paper in Mom’s office trash can and ripped it all into little pieces. My thinking is that she doesn’t have to worry about the shredder if I do it for her. The last piece of my work before being rudely reprimanded was to shred the doormat by the door to the garage. I’m not a fan of the colors in it.
Yes, I got in some trouble, but Mom also feels bad because I’ve been locked up a lot the past few weeks. Not enough to do makes for a bored, and naughty puppy. This is the fifth week in a row of dog sports and I have been stuck in a crate or the car every one of them. Friday I was kenneled all day while Mom had training. Let’s face it, I’m just a bit bored. I guess now things will get back to normal for a while and that will be a good thing. I am usually such a very good little man around the house.

Stuff happens, Nelson, and especially to a puppy. Your mom forgives you already.
Yes, she is pretty good about forgiving me when something happens. I was just really tired of being cooped up and I guess my behavior was a bit inappropriate.
wow Nelson you are an artist… in such a short time, you did the best to become a champion…. …
Not so bad except for peeing on your sister. I’m sure you didn’t mean to do it.
Mom says I need to get control of myself now that I am lifting my leg. I’m kind of an out of control peeing machine according to her.
Everyone needs to be naughty once in a while. Just don’t make that peeing thing a habit; it may seem like a good boy dog idea, but the humans really don’t like it.
No, Mom was pretty mad about that. Madison didn’t mind too much.
Well, Nelson, I don’t think those things are that bad. My girls have done a lot worse when they were puppies and had the run of the house and went outside a lot. It is not really your fault. Bring locked up in a crate can be very stressful and not fun. Having to go to so many events a d not being able to compete is not fun either. I hope you had a nice talk with your mom so she could understand your side.
I get to compete sometimes but it gets boring and I have a lot of energy I need to burn. Now I know I should stick with being a good boy.
Ha!! Mom says that each one of us has had a moment. My big brother Dash chewed the corner of a wooden chest! My big sister Lilly ripped up a comforter!! There were feathers everywhere!!!! Me? Just the usual: tissues in the trash can!! Mom can’t put tissues in a trash can anymore. And when guests visit she keeps an eagle eye on me — its so embarrassing when the guest walks in and finds tissues that they thought were in the trash all over the guest room! Like confetti.
Hang in there. Sounds like your mom is like our mom — pretty forgiving!! Have a great day. your friend Chester
Mom says after Bailie having exploding pillows and dog beds a lot, this wasn’t so bad. I also heard some of my sisters peed on other sisters, so I am not the first. From now on, I will try to stick with being a good fellow to stay out of the dog house. I do enjoy shredding things in the trash cans, it is a lot of fun.
Okay, maybe you were naughty, but you did make me laugh and I think mom finds the humor here too. I know she’ll make sure you’re less bored. You sure are handsome.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. ♥
It was the end of a long stretch of competing. We were all tired out and ready for a break. I am the only one that kind of exploded, though.
Oh my dog! How could you, Nelson? Wait…when I was your age I tore up my beds! I only steal socks now. You will be fine, but don’t pee on your sisters! XOXO Sparkle
The peeing thing made mom pretty mad, but she has had it happen with other dogs and puppies. Bailie she says was the worst puppy of all with exploding pillows and beds all the time.
Well Nelson the first step of not being a Naughty puppy is to take responsibility for your actions.
Seems you did that. I’m guessing peeing on Madison’s tail was more of a miss fire than being naughty she does have a very active tail. Her wag and your aim were in sync hopefully for just once.
As for the paper shredding and mat destroying…yep naughty.
Hugs Cecilia
It was all kind of naughty. Mom says I need to get my hose under control and until I get that down, girls won’t be allowed near me when I am watering things.
Hi Nelson! Actually I am QUITE proud of you!!!!! I have been known to do a “few” things when I am bored as well! Well done YOU!! Love, Levi
Thank you, Levi. Normally I am such a good boy, I think it was rather shocking for my mom that morning.
Nelson! You are a puppy after our own hearts! Us cats (well, me, Marv and Jo Jo) are naughty and the early very cold weather has ment we can’t go out and we have been “acting out”. We applaud you (and your Peep) for handling being bored so well! Imagine what mayhem you could wreck if you had a whole hour!?!?
You guys (especailly your Peep) are AWESOME! Purrs Marv
PS Shredding paper is so much fun, isn’t it!
I am going to try to not pee on my sisters and shred rugs but I can’t promise leaving the trash alone. There is always something new and fun in there for me to work on.
Naughty and funny! Have a great week….try not to shred anymore paper? Cheers!
I am trying to be a better boy like I was before that little bad spell.
You are not alone in peeing on your sister, Nelson. Walter has done it a few times because he always tries to pee over Millie’s pee and sometimes, he gets impatient waiting for her to finish. BOL!
Mom really says that can’t be happening so the girls need to keep their distance or if they are peeing, I have to wait far away.
Sounds like you covered all the bases Nelson. Jakey has peed on both Rosy and I, sounds like you needed some extra attention….and your Mom listened!
xoxo,
Sunny
I get lots of attention, but I really needed some time to run wild and wear myself out a bit.
I’m sure all is okay, your Mom loves you, but you do need to not pee on your Sis, practice that aim dude.
Mom says I need to get my hose under control. I will work on that. I didn’t realize it was such a big deal.
It’s generally true that naughty pups are bored pups. I’m glad to hear you will probably have more to do and less time in a crate for a bit of a while.
I’m happy about it too. Travel and stuff is fun, but there is a lot of down time to deal with. Mom says I have to learn to deal with it, though.
This is an extra-ordinary mug shot!!! You are TOO cute to not have your record expunged!!! Lets see… 5 weeks of being crated and you only did 15 minutes of damage???? I’d call you a saint!!
Mom says I’m an awesome puppy. It was just a rough couple of days and I was rather tired of it.
10 month ! Time goes by so fast ! Never mind about all the naughty things you did, you are now a Teenager and it’s a normal behaviour at this age ! The worst you are in teenage years the better you will be as an adult !
Mom hopes I continue to be a pretty good boy. Everyone has one of those days where things just go crazy.
Just a little reminder, Nelson … Santa does keep a “naughty and nice” list and there are not too many days left until he will pack up the sleigh and be on his way to your house. You have a little time left to redeem yourself if you work at it …
I’m a really good little fellow most of the time but I did have kind of a big slip up there Saturday. I will keep Santa’s list in mind. No one told me about that until now.
Oops, sounds like you’re a typical little boy, Nelson.
Until now, I’ve been a really good puppy, but the devil got into me on Saturday. Now I’m back to being pretty good again.
