Decking the halls is a family affair at our house. I’m the hound in charge because I am small, and I am kind of an elf at heart. I love seeing what is in all our boxes when we bring them upstairs and it is fun to decorate the tree.
This is Nelson’s first Christmas, so it is extra special for him. Mom ordered him his own bone stocking in green from our favorite place. We do have an assortment of stockings to choose from too, but Nelson is using the new one this year.
Mom has to hang the stockings with care because we are all too short. She forgot the hanger thing we have has five hooks. How perfect is that? They look great hanging off the mantle, waiting for Christmas.
Olivia likes to sniff around the ornament box when she helps out with decking the halls in our house. The fragile ones are nicely wrapped to keep them from breaking.
Bailie isn’t very into helping us get the house decorated. She wants to hang the jumbo ornament on the tree, but it is for outdoors. Mom says it needs to go outside, not on our small indoor tree.
This red ornament is one of my favorites and it matches my Santa hat nicely too.
Olivia also loves the presents part of Christmas. She thinks this box if for her for some reason. This year we won’t put presents under the tree because Nelson will get them. We can’t use a nice tree skirt either, but these are normal things we do when there is a new puppy in the house.
Decorating is a lot of work, and taking it all down again is even more work. We do it yearly, so we are used to it, but elf Nelson didn’t hold up too well. He does make a cute elf asleep on the job and it keeps him out of trouble.

It is fun and now we can sit under it, at least I can because I am small and I have always liked to be under the Christmas tree.
Wow, what fun. I don’t celebrate Christmas and never had a tree. Interesting that the stocking hanger has 5 hooks- wonder if that means another child in the future. Or I guess that could be your mom’s hook. Nelson does make an adorable elf, sleeping. I am sure all of you did good job.
No more pups on the way. Four is a paw full according to mom. The 5th hook is just right for her stocking. She forgot there were 5.
We have been busy here too. The tree is up but no decorations on it yet. They’re all dog related ornaments. We have some stuff that needs batteries. Puffin grabbed a few of the Boston terriers that are on the coffee table, and one of the stuffies is now blind. Children! Tomorrow is my happy day! XOXO Sparkle
One more sleep until your happy day 🙂 No one grabs ornaments here, but we all love to run under the tree and Mom says one day it will topple over.

It is a bit less this year with Nelson, but next year will get back to normal decorating.

You girls are all darling, but Nelson – Elf is simply precious! Does Mom have the smallest stocking because she doesn’t get any chews??
It is a stocking her Gramma made for her when she was born. It is special to her, so she always uses it.
Awww! Decorating is fun, and Nelson will be a pro like the rest of you soon.
Next year will be much easier with him for the holidays, but overall, he is a good little fellow.

We love all the decorations and I love the tree most of all. Mom says I should live in a pine tree forest as I love our pine trees in the yard too.
Simply awesome photo shoot. The pups are such great models. Most pets wouldn’t cooperate when it comes to props.
Mom starts us off with modeling when we are about 9 weeks old, so we are used to it. As puppies we go through our phases but then we learn to just model and be done with it.
Aww, so cute. You guys are super festive and no doubt Santa will be leaving you special ‘howliday’ gifts.
We sure hope so as we have all worked hard to stay on the good list.
