Nelson and I had some fun Christmas finds at Gramma’s house on the weekend. The weather was gorgeous, cold, snow, and sunshine, so we had to go out for a nice winter walk. I took Nelson to a park he hasn’t been to before. It was really nice walking weather. Sometimes we forget Nelson is still a puppy, but at Gramma’s house we have to remember that. He doesn’t visit Gramma very much because he is kind of wild and we don’t want him to accidentally hurt her. When he comes along on a visit, he spends some time in his kennel, and a lot of time on leash attached to Mom. Her house isn’t puppy proofed and we don’t want him to get into anything he shouldn’t.
I introduced Nelson to the 1986 Santa Bear. He loves stuffed toys, making it perfect for him. Santa Bear received a very nice sniff over and then Nelson was able to sit next to him for a nice photo. I think all of us have our photo with this adorable bear. We have heard they are bringing the bears back but it won’t ever be the same as the originals.
Of all the Christmas finds we made Saturday, my favorite is this special angel. Can you believe she is sixty two years old! Gramma has always been creative, especially with fabrics, notions, and sewing. The first year she was married they had no angel for the Christmas tree and no extra money to buy one. Gramma got creative and made one. This is that angel. She sure looks good for her age! Gramma takes her out every year for Christmas and I got to take a photo with her this year.
Nelson and I had a very nice day with Gramma and we look forward to the next time we get to go out and visit.
My GBGV Life is happy, so weβre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
Gramma’s angel is just beautiful and you are so lucky to be able to pose with her, Nelson!
Our mom loves that angel as it is so special. It kind of looks like Gramma looked back in 1960.
Gramma’s have the bestest stuff!! I bet she gives good hugs too
Cecilia
She is cautious with us, except for Bailie. She totally trusts her.
I love the angel history. Fran Allison sang a song called “Angie the Christmas Tre Angel” my mom loved that song. I bet your Gramma remembers that song. Fran was on the TV show Kukla, Fran and Ollie. It may have been a Buffalo thing. My sister won’t leave the stuffy animal Christmas display of Boston terriers on the coffee table! XOXO Sparkle
Gramma probably does remember that song. We will have to ask her about it. We didn’t put out any stuffies or holiday pillows this year with Nelson being here.
What a wonderful visit with Gramma; so special!
We think any time with Gramma is special and finding fun things makes it even better.
Itβs so nice that you get to visit grandma for the holidays
We all take our turns so we don’t overwhelm her.
What a beautiful angel grandma made. So beautiful.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful mom. β₯
It is an angel with so many memories!

I have seen the angel before but never got to actually touch and smell her.
We love this post! The angel
is beautiful and we love the story. Grammas are the best!!!! love, Chester and Lilly
Gramma’s have lots of great stories too!
We also have some special Christmas things from years past, they are the very best. Good for Grandma and her beautiful angel, it’s a wonderful keepsake and Nelson protects it lovingly!
Gramma has a lot of treasures at her house. We love to see and hear about them.
WHAT A LOVELY HISTORY OF THE FAMILY ANGEL!!!
Thank you.
The angel story is so sweet and so is the angel. I bet your Grandma was happy to see you both. How is your Grandma feeling these days?
Gramma is feeling pretty good and that makes us happy. She has the energy she hasn’t had for well over a year so it is really nice for her and all of us.
That was a really fun visit and that Angel sure is a special one.
Gramma is very creative and that angel is very special.
Grandma’s house is often full of treasure.
She does have a lot of treasures in her house, especially family treasures.
What a wonderful day you and Nelson had at your Gramma’s house…We really like the Angel, we bet she looked beautiful on a tree!
xoxo,
Jakey
She always looked great on the tree but since Gramma no longer wants a tree, she looks pretty sitting on top of the cabinet.
Wow, that Christmas angel is amazing! Kudos to your Grandma for being creative. Those kinds of decorations are always the best kind.
Our mom just loves it. She remembers it on the tree every year growing up. The angel is very special.
