I enjoyed a walk in the deep snow with my mom on the weekend. We were out at Gramma’s house but the trails there were not plowed like ours at home. With all the pretty fresh snow we just got, we wanted to be out in it a bit. Nelson could not come along because of his cone and restrictions. It was a nice mommy and me walk.
Mom says I’m as strong as a horse because I don’t back away from any challenges being short. The park we went to had kind of a trail that people had trampled, better than no trail. I do like to go off course when I notice interesting smells like in the photo above.
Behind me in this photo you can see the little trail we tried to stay on for our walk. Mom and I took turns being the leader since it is only wide enough for one of us, we could not walk side by side.
I am an off road kind of girl. The best things to find and smell are not usually on a path, but next to the path. Just because I have to walk in the deep snow to get to fun stuff doesn’t stop me at all. My furs keep me nice and warm and I’m in good physical condition allowing me to hop through the snow without any problem.
Mom loves a good snow face, and I definitely have one of those. It is still real powder snow, so no snowballs, just nice snow powder on my face and pretty much my entire body. It’s a bummer it will be warm and we will have rain this week because this snow is really nice.

That takes a lot of strength and endurance to walk through deep snow like that, Madison. I bet you slept for a good long time once you got back home!
I had a good nap after my walk, but I’m in pretty good shape since I have to do that kind of thing all the time.
the cutest snow face… ll done :O)
Thank you, boys.
What an adorable snow face! Powder snow (aka dry snow) is very nice when there isn’t a lot of it. You girls live where there is way too much snow! Hope the rain doesn’t make too big of a mess for you to get out for your walks.
The rain is awful. We are all soaked including Mom. The snow is ruined, but we still have tons of it and it is icy and wet everywhere. Not nice.
Wow! You are working your core!!! Do you take nice long naps after your excursions outside? The snow looks so wonderful. Happy Monday! your friends Chester and Lilly
I did sleep really well Saturday night. At Gramma’s house I’m too busy to sleep. I spend most of my time begging for treats or looking for Gramma’s cat who doesn’t like dogs.
There is nothing cuter on a canine than a good snow face.
Thank you. I love getting a snow face.
You are a little snow dog! XOXO, Sparkle
I am, and I love it!
Madison, you are indeed a trooper! I’m glad at least YOU and your mom get to enjoy the snow! We have had thunderstorms here in Missouri, and neither Olive, nor I, like the lightening! Mom says sometimes snow storms have lightening too. Have you ever seen that? Your friend, Jimmy Parker
I think we had thunder snow once this year so far. We just all love the snow, but now it is raining and it is a huge mess!
Awww, I know how much you all love the snow. It sure is beautiful.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
We had several days to get out and really enjoy it all. Now it has rained and it is one huge mess.
Looks like it was really fun and really snowy. New York is expecting its first snow tonight. My guess it will be rain.
We are stuck with rain today and it is just awful!
Madison you may be short but you’re mighty!!!! Love how you and your Mom love the snow!
I’m the smallest in my family, but I am also the boss. Tiny but tough.
Oh my that is one determined pup! Darling photos!
I never give up and don’t let being small hold me back.
We were wondering about snow balls….the snow here is wet, so we are guaranteed to get them. We’re glad you avoided them this time!

This was perfect snow, but now we have rain which is making it all wet and we will have snowballs if we go out in it.
Oh you are adorable and so strong to play in the snow ~ great photos of you sweet one ~
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

That would be me!
I’m glad you got to go out and enjoy the deep snow and your snow face is so cute! Did you tell Nelson about the fun he missed out on when you got home?
No, we just let him do his thing so he doesn’t get even more sad and frustrated.
What a fun day you had! I do hope Nelson gets a little more snow time before it all melts away.
March is a big snow month, so we are hoping for another storm or two.
You’re such a cute snow dog. It’s such a joy to see you reveling in it.
Thank you. I do love snow, especially the nice powder.
