Nelson just has an affinity for the floor, it cooler than the bed. During the day Lucy will nap on the very top of the couch and move to the hardwood floor. Dogs are just like kids, everyone has their own preferences. Personally, I love Nelson’s name.
Awww, thank you. Mom always liked the name Nelson. He just must be a hot fellow as he also likes to sleep hugged up by windows and doors even in the winter.
Nelson In 16 1/2 years of being the resident Queen…Angel Madi might have used a ‘real’ cat bed 5 or 6 times. So many other flat wonderful surfaces. Hugs Cecilia
Just like Zen and my other Goldens, though Bogie was and Zoey is a bit of a snugglepuss. I think it may have a lot to do with the amount of fur you have on your body, too. Callie’s (and Shadow’s to a lesser extent) favorite place to nap during the day was on the bathroom floor, right up against the side of the tub. Zen’s favorite spot is the kitchen floor; but who knows? When Zoey is old enough to have more roaming privileges, they both might prefer the bathroom floor like Callie did.
You look pretty comfy right where you are, Nelson.
I quit sleeping in bed a while back too. I prefer to sleep on the floor.
exactly… there could be a pea under the pillows … uhoh!
Guys, that was the princess, not the prince with the pea under the bed thing, LOL!

You look very comfortable on that bench, Nelson.
I am, and I can always wake up and see what is going on outside.
But when you go to sleep donβt you wonβt something cuddly
I don’t like the cuddly stuff, I think it is for girls. I prefer the floor.
I think you’ve earned the right to sleep wherever you want. You’re so handsome.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches all around and my best to your mom. β₯
Thank you π I am happy on the floor or other similar surfaces. The girls like the cushy spots.

We all know Bert likes our dog beds, but I am not a fan of dog beds or human beds. I like the floor, or the bench without the bed.
The Prince is allowed to sleep anywhere he wants!
I am, and I do too.

We all have slightly different fur, but I prefer being cool and the girls like to be warm I think.
It’s gotten a bit warm here for beds…and we’re also just sleeping on the couch of floor.
Happy napping!

Thank you. Even in the summer we girls like to have a bed a lot of the time.
What is it about men needing firmer beds?
I think you may be onto something there. I am the first boy dog, so Mom doesn’t know if it is a boy thing or not.
Sometimes being benched does have advantages Nelson!
Good one!
You look so comfy and content, Nelson.πΎ
Happy Thursday!
I’m very happy not to be in one of those cozy beds.
When you’re tired, just about any place will do. Loe how your tail hangs over the side. Sweet dreams.
As with everything on me, it is long and it gets heavy hauling it around too!
That is typical! Are you sure you are not part cat?
Oh dear, I sure hope not. Our cat prefers soft beds.
