The smoke cleared. The sun set. The race is on! These days evenings are the only time to play in the yard. Many nights, the smoke from Canada doesn’t go away, so we don’t do much but the other night, it cleared. Nelson was immediately in the market for some fun, surveying his domain for ideas.
I joined him in the yard and the two of us were plotting and scheming for some backyard fun.
And then just like that, we took off on the chase. I was ready to tackle down my little brother who is actually bigger than me.
Whoops, something went wrong with my plan. How did I end up the one being tackled. It is not easy to get out from under Nelson as he is a big, strong guy.
I’m patient and when I see opportunity, I try to get up and revers things so I am tackling him.
All the chasing and tackling are for fun. Sometimes I give my little brother a hug just to remind him that it is all a game, and nothing more.
My GBGV Life joining Comedy Plus for the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.After a hug, we are on our way plotting and scheming once again. Since the smoke cleared, we need to get busy and enjoy the clean air because it will probably come back. Evening race time is always a good time if the smoke is not hanging around.

You and Nelson are so cute together, Olivia, and it’s obvious that you’re having lots of fun!
We seem to be a bit of a divided household, the two young pups vs the more refined older ones. It works and everyone seems to be happy!
Just a simple AWWW.
Awww, thank you. Have a fun day with June.
that are the best action shots ever… we hope the smoke will go away and you can celebrate with the best clear blue jans sky tomorrow.
We are hoping for lots of rain and storms because we can’t stand the fireworks anymore. We don’t get any sleep since Friday.
Yes, baby brothers have a habit of outgrowing their big sisters, but fun is fun and they are making the most of the situatiion. Have a blessed week.
He is not necessarily bigger in height, but he is a solid guy and all muscle. He almost knocks Mom over sometimes.
I love that you guys have each other to chase and love
We have a lot of fun together. Sometimes I decide to be mature, and not play, but that is short lived.
So happy you are “smoke free” at the moment. In Missouri, we are smoked 24/7 from Canada, but sometimes we see SMALL patches of blue for a few minutes. Remember to be careful today and the rest of this week – highest time for us dogs to get out and get lost due to fireworks! Olive (your relative through our breeder if not genetically closer)
We are so over this holiday, we dread it each year because of all the noise. Three nights without enough sleep now, that is crazy!
you are the best sun set players! that looks like a lot of fun. We are having the smoke too. And the heat!
Mom was away and we were with our babysitter. We love her, but WE LOVE MOM! And we are so glad she is back!! have a great day your friends Chester and Lilly
Bailie loves her sitter too, but after a few days she starts to get sad and wants Mom back home. The rest of us rarely are left with the sitter because we love to travel. Glad your mom is back with you.
I’m glad you got a break from the smoke. We so know how the smoke makes you stay inside. You two had a great time romping in the yard. I can see how much you love each other.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. β₯
We have tons of fun together, that is for sure.
I could nearly see Nelson’s brain churning as he surveyed his domain. Glad you were able to have some sibling fun. PS yay for smoke free air. We have absolutely horrid heat. Already 91 and heading to 97 with feels like 107.
Hugs Cecilia
We are in the upper 90’s today with high humidity, not very nice at all, but Wed will cool things off.
Awww ~ great seeing you having fun together ~ sweet photos too ~
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

We both love to race around and play chase and wrestle.
Great pictures. Hopefully the smoke will finally completely clear. We have been way too hot out here for anyone to want to do anything at night – including fireworks. And we hope the quiet continues.
Sadly, it never seems to hot for fireworks around here. Hopefully in a few days that will end and we can sleep normally again.
You two were sure having some romping fun, evenings look happy at your place!
In the summer, evenings are the best time to be outside since it usually cools off a bit.
Hooray for happy chasing times!
That’s right! We love chasing when it isn’t so hot out.
Time for a celebration; I know the smoke has been bad for you, and you two must have been so impatient for some play time! Alana ramblinwitham
It has been a tough summer with lots of heat and then the smoke, but we do our best to get in some playtime.
