I’m thankful for Adequan and great vet care! Last winter I started limping for no reason that we could think of. After a couple months I got in to see the rehab vet. After some cold laser treatments, we came up with a long term treatment plan for me. So far it is working wonderfully!
Mom and I were skeptical at first. She started giving me shots of this Adequan every so many days for a month and then once every four weeks. We didn’t know how I would take getting injections, but it is super easy. While I feast on my breakfast, Mom grabs some skin on my shoulder area, pokes me, and empties the syringe. I barely feel a thing. Since it is only once every four weeks it isn’t a big deal at all.
After the first week of treatment back in May, my limping went away. After about a month, I started running FastCAT, and for the first time in my life I started jumping into the car all on my own. Since I was a tiny pup, Mom has always lifted me into the car, but no more. I love jumping up on my spot in the back seat. Jumping out is not allowed, Mom lifts me out, but that is fine with me.
These shots are from a really good medicine that is FDA approved. It is designed to reduce pain, but more importantly, it slows down and can reverse cartilage deterioration in a dog’s joints. Since I am only seven, this is super important to me. I should have quite a few pain free years ahead. These shots will help me achieve that goal.
Maintaining a good weight, and proper exercise also help keep arthritis from taking over my life. If you have a dog who is experiencing joint pain perhaps you should talk to your vet about Adequan. It is something I will take for the rest of my life, but it is definitely worth a poke in my shoulder once a month!

This Adequan sounds like great stuffs and we’re so happy that it’s working for you, Madison, and we’re happy that your mom can administer the needle because my mom could never poke me. She’s too much of a wimp!
She used to give shots to her kitty Boo when she had some cancer. Since I barely even notice, it is easy. If it hurt or was a fight it would really be an issue.
wow that sounds really great and we hope it helps you a lot and it helps all in need…
I hope it just keeps on working so well.
Sounds like you have a plan for a long, happy, and active life! Wonderful news.
I sure hope so.
So happy you are feeling well.
Limping around randomly for a few months was not really fun.
Let’s hear it for good veterinarian’s who are on the cutting edge of new medicines for their patients.
The rehab vet place is really good where we live.
So glad you are doing well sweet doggie ~ Xo

I’m so glad it’s helping you! Joint pain is no fun at all.
Limping around randomly was not fun and I’m not that old so it made Mom kind of sad.
So happy it’s working for you!
