The case of the missing dinosaurs is almost solved. I have been looking for the four runaway dinos for about a year now with no luck. By accident I stumbled across some of them last weekend.
It all began back in November 2021 when Bailie ran into four dinosaurs on her morning walk. They lived just a half mile or so from our house. The dinos are adorable and we would see them sitting in their yard when we would walk by. About a year ago, they vanished. We have all wondered where they went to. Did they leave on their own? Were they dinonapped? Would we ever meet again?
Last weekend we were driving along, heading to our FastCAT trials, when I spotted some dinosaurs on the side of the road in the tall grass. Mom drives fast, so we didn’t have time to see if they were the missing ones we have been looking for. On the way home, I asked Mom to stop the car so I could go investigate. Sure enough, the first one I ran up to was one of the four missing dinos. She was super friendly and didn’t try to run.
Moving further into the grass, I met the second of the missing dinosaurs I’m looking for. In Bailie’s photo, you see can see the hamburger on the back of the dinosaur. She couldn’t get all four in one shot. What in the world are these guys doing so far from home and why did they run away?
I also found a third from the missing foursome. This guy is a dinosaur doctor. It’s good to know they have medical help if they need it. The fourth missing dinosaur is still on the lam and the other three are not giving her up. She always seemed like she didn’t fit too well with the group, so I am not surprised. Now for the big question…where did I find them?
At Minnesota’s largest candy store, of course. Please don’t ask me whey this crazy store has three dinosaurs working along the side of the highway! The whole deal is strange, but we are all happy to know our MIA dinos are happy, healthy, and I guess employed. As a detective, my job is done. They do not want to go home, so we will visit them again next time we drive by that store.
I really wonder if we will ever see the one with the big lips and straw hat ever again.
My GBGV Life is happy, so weβre joining Comedy Plus for Happy Tuesday!
this is truly interesting and since i have a curiosity bump the size of the Empire State Building, I might not sleep tonight ponder this matter. You do look adorable sitting there with that very large dino. let us know if you find out
We don’t know why number four was not with the others. She may be in the store but we didn’t go in.
the dinos sell candy now? wow! but at least dinos are always candy for the eyes…
Especially my detective eyes since we have been wondering where they all wandered off to.
What a great detective you are, Madison, and we hope you do see the dino with the big lips and straw hat. She is our favorite! Curious minds want to know – did you get to shop at the candy store?
No shopping at the candy store first of all because it was already crowded at 9:30 in the morning, second, it was too hot for us to be in the car for more than about five minutes, and third, Mom doesn’t eat refined sugar anymore, so it would be a cruel temptation to go in. She has been there several times and it is a super cool place. They have lots of old things, toys, games, puzzles (for your mom) and of course, candy.
BOL BOL BOL you K9’s tickle my funny bone. Dinonapped.
They are very colorful and fun

We are a pack of happy, silly hounds who love to have a good time π
Great detective work, Madison! There must be a story behind how they got to the candy store!
We would love to know what that guy does for a living. Now he has a naked one next to his garage. And where is the one with the big lips, she is the funnest looking one.
So exciting that you found them. The look healthy. But where is the fourth one. You better go back and look so more.
We can’t imagine where the fourth one is, but we will keep our eyes open for her.
oh our goodness, that is so fun!!!! You solved a mystery.. only to find more mysteries!!! We absolutely love these dinosaurs. They are so fun looking. Great work detective Madison! your friends Chester and Lilly
It is so weird they live in our neighborhood and then end up places many miles away and we find them. We love the one we haven’t found the most.
I wonder where the fourth one is? I’m sure we’ll find out at some point.
Love the dinos and I would be all over that candy store. Never pass by a candy store.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful mom. β₯
Mom loves that place, but she gave up refined sugar, so it isn’t much of a draw for her now. At least we stop and find friends who have been missing.
Now THAT’S what I call Nosework! Good job!!! Don’t be surprised if StrawHat-BigLips turns up in another field.
We will be looking for her until we find her.
Wow! Madison ~ great detective work and awesome photos especially of you sweet one ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Thank you. The smallest family member on the case of the largest creatures.
I hope the fourth is just on a little vacation and will be back with the other 3 soon, on the job at the candy store.
She may be somewhere inside or even next to the store somewhere, but it was so busy we didn’t want to try to look. We’ll keep looking for her.
We know if you keep your nose to the ground you will eventually find your missing Dino!
Great job finding these three!

We were totally shocked! Who expected to see them 45 min from our house…driving…on the side of the road…at a candy store. Always expect the unexpected.
How strange they just up and left but you sure did great spotting them in the high grass!!!
It sure was a crazy find!
It always warms my heart when lost things are found! π¦
Especially dinosaurs. I mean where does one go to look for them. This was a total shock to see them so far from home on the side of a highway in the tall grass.
