We ended our FastCAT season for 2023 at Kings Ranch in Ramsey. This year we have done a lot of FastCATs, seven weekends in all, three of those were three days of runs. It is a lot considering we do a lot of other sports as well. Kings Ranch is also where we get our raw food. The trials were on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday Olivia stayed home as we needed space to bring home a big load of food.
I needed 20.6 points to earn my FastCAT2 Title which is the last title we planned to earn this season. Since I get 26 – 28 points a run, I earned my new FCAT2 Title on my first run Saturday morning.
Mom saw ribbon photos online a while back and told me the ribbons the Minnesota Coursing Association have for FastCAT are perfect for me. I’m pink girl, and it is super fun, huge, and looks like a racing ribbon! My FCAT Title was a disaster as I had my crash that weekend so I could not run and when I earned my title, I got a stupid medallion that doesn’t even say FastCAT on it! Mom says I really deserve a Grand ribbon and now I have one.
My next three runs for the weekend are going towards my FCAT3. Olivia is already half way there, and Nelson has a nice chunk of points towards his FCAT. 2024 should bring us an FCAT for Nelson and FCAT3’s for me and Olivia. For now, Mom and I are super thrilled with my FCAT2 and this best ever ribbon that is so me!
Wrapping up our FastCAT season, Nelson earned his BCAT in May, and DCAT in August. Olivia earned her FCAT2 in August, and I now have my FCAT2. There are a few more FastCAT trials in our area, but we have a full calendar of other activities for the coming two months. We can conclude our season being super happy having reached our goals.

We didn’t know there was FastCAT at Purina this weekend. Mom would have entered Olivia so she had something to do while Nelson does his show dog thing. Olive competed with Olivia in FL in Dec 2021 at the Invitational.
