Today I’m introducing the newest Master Sniffer in our family. Any guesses who it might be? We had a fantastic three day trial weekend and that is when it all went down.
All four of us are now trialing at the same level. You can only enter one dog in a search because the hides are secret. Mom opted to take me and Olivia last weekend. Olivia needs practice for her Summit Trial that is coming up, and I needed some Masters searches. Together we went and had a very successful weekend.
I’m only twenty months old, but I am at Masters level in two of the four elements. I dipped my paws into Masters for the first time. The hides are a bit more difficult, and the number is a range, so Mom and I have to work together to know when I have found everything in my search. Saturday I Q’d in all four searches, two container and two exterior. I also earned fourth place in both my exterior runs. Sunday I Q’d in one exterior and one container search, earning second place in my exterior search. There were some issues with horses before my searches and I was a bit preoccupied since I have never met a horse.
Still, all I need is three Q’s for a title and I earned my Masters Exterior and Container Titles. Mom is super proud of me and I got so much love and attention! It is perfect too because the club has lime green ribbons. Now I am a Master sniffer like my sisters. Mom says I’m silently catching up to them and will surpass them soon. Stay tuned…
Olivia had a blast searching Detective for three days, two trials a day. She Q’d in four of her six searches. In her first and last searches she missed one hide in each, so no Q. Most people missed those hides along with others, so she doesn’t feel so bad. Out of thirty eight total hides for the weekend in Detective, she found thirty six. We think that is fantastic!
The two of us have a few more sports things coming up together. Hopefully our success with continue!

It was kind of a test to see if I could work at that level and I definitely passed.
We want to enter a trial, but they seem to reach their entry limits the first day entries open!
Lots of the ones here are random draw. Mom is on the committee so we get in for sure and for other trials she volunteers so she can get us in. You might want to see if they do that in your area.
Just want to say congratulations! I know how much training and practice had to have gone into earning those titles! That’s a huge commitment!
Mom is pretty busy with all of us and all our sports, but we all love it and Mom says she is addicted.
